The Liberal New York Times Frets About Aftermath of Climate-Gate In Britain. A survey in February by the BBC found that only 26 percent of Britons believed that “climate change is happening and is now established as largely manmade,” down from 41% in November 2009. Maybe the Times should remember the immortal words of P.T. Barnum? [2]

Giant oil plumes from the oil spill suffocating life in the Gulf of Mexico. One plume is measured 10 miles long, 3 miles wide and 300 feet thick. Scientists now estimate 25,000 to 80,000 barrels daily are leaking into the Gulf despite the Obama administration's claim of only 5,000 barrels a day. [3]

Critics rip Barack Hussein Obama's weekend declaration that he would seek a new 'international order' (New World Order), with some questioning how much U.S. sovereignty the White House is willing to give up in exchange for global "cooperation". The address seemed to mark a greater departure from the so-called "Bush Doctrine" than past Obama speeches like the president's address to Muslim nations last summer in Cairo. The Bush administration's approach to foreign affairs, dubbed the "Bush Doctrine," generally included a policy of unilateralism and the right to preemptive strike, among other tenets.

Sarah Palin Questions Obama's Oil Ties. President's response to massive oil spill in Gulf may have been hampered by BP campaign donations, Palin asserts. [16]

The textbook The Americans by Henretta et al. begins its section on the Red Scare as follows: "Was there any significant Soviet penetration of the American government? Historians had mostly debunked the idea and so, in earlier editions, did this textbook. But we were wrong." [17]

Even though the Obama EPA restricted use of dispersants for toxicity concerns, after the Gulf oil spill disaster, dispersants have been allowed. Now cleanup workers are getting sick. [18]

Bailouts Of European Nations Are Economic Suicide. The global economy cannot be saved by an American bailout. The Federal Reserve has secretly lent billions of dollars to prop up the Euro. This is ridiculous since the European Union was created to compete against the economy of the United States. European socialism is based on a false and unsustainable premise of robbing Peter to pay Paul. It should be allowed to die of natural causes rather than given American money to be non-productive leeches. [19]

On Tuesday, the New Jersey Supreme Court hears oral argument on the issue of whether the people can recall a U.S. Senator from office. What A Shame Department: Crisis Imperils Liberal Benefits Long Expected by Europeans
The deficit crisis that threatens the Euro has also undermined the sustainability of the European standard of social welfare, built by left-leaning governments since the end of World War II. Europeans have benefited from low military spending, protected by NATO and the American nuclear umbrella, but no more. “It will be a mess,” a waiter said. “We’ll have to work harder and longer in our jobs.” Without the U.S. taxpayers subsidizing Europeans in one way or another, they will have to do exactly what Americans have been doing for decades to provide for their European cousin's early and lavish retirements; work harder, longer and save more --- C'est-la-vie! [24] & [25]

Climate Scientists Are Now Predicting Decades Of Global Cooling! Looking at much reduced sunspot activity and considering that the Sun is our overwhelmingly largest source of heat, a cycle of global cooling is plausible. Let’s hope that doesn’t give new opportunities for climate “scientists” to embezzle more taxpayer funds. [26]

Elena Kagan's Writings Suggest Her View On Judge's Role: When judges make decisions, they must take account of their values and experience and consider politics and policy, rather than act as umpires. Her words stand in contrast to the more technical view of judging voiced by Chief Justice John Roberts at his confirmation hearing five years ago. Roberts said he considered himself an umpire merely calling balls and strikes. [28]

Liberals are furious that the "brilliant" Thomas Jefferson -- whom they promote because of one letter he wrote on separating church and state but who was not even present at the Constitutional Convention and drove his own estate into insolvency -- has lost his exaggerated significance in the new Texas textbook standards. [32]

Conservative Rand Paul to the liberal media: get lost, I don't need your liberal claptrap! He becomes only the third person in 62 years to cancel an appearance on Meet the Press, a has-been show watched only by fuddy-duddies any more. [33]

Vatican Paper: Courage, Caution On New Cell. Osservatore Romano said the most recent breakthrough in genetic engineering – the production of a synthetic cell – was a positive development, but one that had to be treated with care. The paper noted that despite some of the headlines surrounding the discovery, there was no new “life” that had been produced. “In reality it wasn’t life that was created; one of the motors was replaced, beyond the claims and the headlines in the papers, it was an interesting result that was obtained, which can have applications, and should have some rules, like all things that touch the heart of life,” the paper noted. TEXAS TEXTBOOK BATTLE: How should Barack Hussein Obama's name appear in U.S. History books? That's just one skirmish in a larger battle being waged in Texas today — and the outcome will decide how and what America's kids learn. Video

The so called "Block of Seven", a group of conservatives serving on the state school board, won almost every battle they fought, strengthening the study of the Founding Fathers, free enterprise, eugenics, the extent of Soviet spies during the Cold War that helped explain the 'Red Scare' and motivate Sen. Joseph McCarthy. They also succeeded in including study of the Black Panthers during discussion of the Civil Rights Era, the internment of Germans and Italians, as well as the Japanese during WWII, and the economics standards will now require teachers to consider the "solvency" of entitlement programs like Social Security and Medicare. [42]

It took about two minutes from the time the New Jersey State Senate certified the passage of the millionaires tax package for Gov. Chris Christie to veto the bills at his desk. [43]

Still more proof that liberalism is a mental disorder: the Democrats and their liberal supporters in this country demand that the southern border with Mexico remain open for anyone to cross over at any time, for any purpose...and so what if thousands of them are terrorists? [44] One would have to be nuts to ever trust the judgment of a liberal ever again.

Incumbents Rocked by Votes --
If Tuesday's primaries were any indication, incumbents and establishment-backed candidates in November should be shaking in their boots. Taken together, the results of Tuesday's races sent a clear message to Washington that the anti-incumbent wave that has gripped the nation over the past year isn't losing steam. Political novice, Tea Party movement favorite Rand Paul said "It cannot be overstated that people want something new," Paul said, "They don't want the same old, same old politicians and I think they think the system is broken and needs new blood. The Tea Party movement has a message, loud and clear for Washington; We have come to take our government back!" [64]

Conservapedia -- Right Again! You can't say we didn't warn our elected officials. Several times we repeated here, "If you pass it, (ObamaCare) you will go!" With the handwriting on the wall, liberals in Congress have embarked on a suicide mission of huge spending, knowing full well they will meet their "Obamageddon" in November. Barack Obama will be the owner of a shattered, discredited and crippled administration, (same as Jimmy Carter was) whose socialist "change" was rejected by the American people. [68]

The two will face each other again in November. Stay tuned. [69]

Obama administration officials were recently called on carpet over Gulf oil spill disaster. [70]

One of the reasons the oil spill disaster and the administrations response to it has been damaging to the Obama administration is due to the fact that Obama hasn't been able to blame the oil spill and the Federal government's response to it on George W. Bush!

Liberal Ignorance Is Bliss Department: Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano admitted Monday that she has not read the controversial Arizona immigration law even though she's gone on television to criticize it, and continues to assert that it was "bad law enforcement law." The admission comes after Attorney General Eric Holder, who earlier warned the law could create a "slippery slope" toward racial profiling, told a House committee last week that he had not read the bill either. On Tuesday, State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said he too had not read the bill, even as he defended leftist diplomatic official Michael Posner for comparing the law to Chinese human rights violations. [76]

Though he remains the president of the Wikimedia Foundation, "Jimbo" Wales is no longer able to delete files, remove administrators, assign projects, sources say. Essentially, they say, he has gone from having free reign over the content and people involved in the websites to having the same capabilities of a low-level administrator. Administrators have been adding back the child pornography Wales removed. When asked who was in charge now, a source said, “No one. It’s chaos!” [118]

Walter Cronkite collaborated with anti-Vietnam War activists in the 1960s. Cronkite went so far as to offer advice on how to raise the public profile of protests and even pledging CBS News resources to help pull off events, according to FBI documents obtained by Yahoo! Thousands Sign Petition Protesting Empire State Building's Snub of Mother Teresa. A nationwide petition drive has been launched by the Catholic League after the Empire State Building denied a request to commemorate Mother Teresa's 100th birthday. Bill Donohue, President of the League noted that the iconic building in midtown Manhattan changed its colors to red and yellow last year to honor the 60th anniversary of China's Communist Revolution. "Yet under its founder, Mao Zedong, the Communists killed 77 million people," Donohue said in a statement. "In other words, the greatest mass murderer in history merited the same tribute being denied to Mother Teresa." [124]

Discredited United Nations Department: Libya - a country with well documented ties to terrorist organizations and an abysmal human rights record has been elected by a majority of its fellow U.N. members to serve on the United Nations' Human Rights Council. In a secret ballot Libya received 155 votes and will serve a three year term. [125]

An evolutionary biochemist thinks he has proved a key tenet of evolution–namely, common descent, also known as Universal Common Ancestry. The trouble is, all he has really shown is that if life evolved as Charles Darwin said it did, then it is over 100,000 times more likely to have come from a single ancestor than from several ancestors that sprang up all over the world. But why should that be, if the origin of life were completely random? [126]

Despite repeatedly voicing concerns about Arizona's new immigration law, Attorney General Eric Holder says he has not read the law yet — which is only 10 pages long ! Holder did tell Congress he plans to read the law before reaching a decision on whether he thinks it's constitutional. That's nice of him... [127]

School Official in Basketball Flap Is No Stranger to Controversy: The school official who nixed an Illinois girls high school basketball team trip to Arizona once supported a controversial program that required students to attend a “freshman advisory” class where Gay upperclassmen shared stories of their high school experience with new students. Students who attended were asked to sign a statement promising not to tell others -- including their parents -- about what was said in class. Typical of liberals. [128]

England is not really very "English": "In parts of inner-London," the schoolchildren who do not speak English as their first language "now exceed three-quarters." In its entire nation, including all the rural areas, one-sixth of schoolchildren do not speak English as their first language. [129]

Republicans have solidified support among voters who had drifted from the party in recent elections, putting the GOP in position for a strong comeback in the November 2010 Elections, according to a new Wall Street Journal / NBC News poll. Republicans have reassembled their coalition by reconnecting with independents, seniors, blue-collar voters, suburban women and small town and rural voters—all of whom had moved away from the party in the 2006 elections, in which Republicans lost control of the House. Those voter groups now favor GOP control of Congress. [131] & [132]

A Real Nowhere Man: Pennsylvania Republican-turned-Democratic Senator Arlen Specter once again appears to be having a bit of a political identity crisis. With a tough primary only one week away, Specter spoke Tuesday to a group of Democrats in Pittsburgh and said this: "I thank the Allegheny Republican Committee for endorsing me for the Democratic nomination… Great pleasure to be endorsed by the Allegheny County Republicans and together we'll win for victory." [133]

Parents in Illinois are outraged over a move by Highland Park High School to scrap its girls basketball team's trip to Arizona over new immigration law. After winning their first conference title in 26 years, the girls are being denied the opportunity to play in the tournament because their school determined the trip “would not be aligned” with its “beliefs and values,” Assistant Superintendent Suzan Hebson told the Chicago Tribune. Yet the same school approved a student trip to China apparently because it is aligned with their beliefs and values. At least those of the liberal, public school administrators that is! [134]

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger threatens to eliminate California's main welfare program unless he gets a bailout from the Federal government.[137] Watch a chain reaction of many states asking for a bailout if the federal government caves into the California welfare state. Given the enormous US federal deficit, sooner or later, "nanny" is going to be a lot less generous in the nannystate.

Election 2010: Alaska Governor: Conservative Governor Sean Parnell is comfortably ahead of his three chief Democratic challengers in his bid for reelection in Alaska by 30% +. Opposition to ObamaCare is even higher in Alaska than it is nationally. 62% of Alaska voters favor repeal of the health care bill. This includes 55% who Strongly Favor repeal. [138]

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer Signs Bill Targeting Ethnic Studies. State schools chief Tom Horne, who has pushed the bill for years, said he believes the Tucson school district's Mexican-American "studies" program teaches Latino students that they are oppressed by white people. Public schools should not be encouraging students to resent a particular race, he said. Obvious to anyone except liberal teachers, we guess! [139]

Kagan Argued for Government 'Redistribution of Speech.' Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan said the high court should be focused on ferreting out improper governmental motives when deciding First Amendment cases. She has argued that the government’s reasons for restricting free speech are what matters most and not necessarily the effect of those restrictions on speech. [140]

Last Saturday RINO Bob Bennett was the first Senator to lose his seat in the primary. Arlen Specter could lose his seat next (see below).

Liberal Arlen Specter is now down by 5 points with the primary in one week. [144] Newspaper endorsements used to elect him. Too bad for Arlen that newspapers have lost their credibility.

Pretending Elena Kagan's Mind Is a Mystery. When George W. Bush nominated judges John Roberts and Samuel Alito for the Supreme Court, the networks routinely described them as "conservative" and even "very conservative" and "ultraconservative." They even tagged Obama’s first nominee Sonia Sotomayor as a "conservative" last year. But the early stories on President Obama’s nomination of Elena Kagan routinely avoided describing her as a liberal. ABC, CBS, and NBC aggressively ignored documentary evidence that Kagan was a fervent liberal. On the Fox News Channel, reporter Shannon Bream quoted liberals downplaying her ideology, but also noted "Kagan wrote an opinion piece for the student newspaper saying she, quote, ‘absorbed liberal principles early,’ and went on to lament the success of those she called, quote, ‘anonymous but Moral Majority-backed avengers of innocent life.’ Kagan also said she looked forward to a time when a, quote, ‘more leftist left will once again come to the fore.’" [146] & Shannon Bream's documentation

Obama Is Calling 'Information' a Threat. In his latest swipe at the modern media environment, President Obama used a commencement speech over the weekend to bemoan the onslaught of information in the digital age and suggest that the gusher of news out there is too much of a good thing. Liberals and Socialists only dislike Information Technology when it exposes their plans, it seems. [147]

Town Fights Senior Center Prayer Ban. The mayor of a Georgia town remains hopeful he won't have to stomach telling elderly citizens they cannot pray before meals at a senior center. Wanna bet? [156] UPDATE: Prayers Answered: Seniors Can Pray Before Meals at Georgia Center. [157].

Wikipedia Pornography Still There. Despite some efforts by Wikipedia's parent Foundation to rapidly purge Child pornography from its servers over the weekend, the original images that the online encyclopedia's co-founder reported to the FBI are still up on the site — along with an entire category called “nude children” and other photos of naked children. The inmates have taken over the asylum, it seems - as liberals fight against porn removal and Jimbo Wales [158]- [159]

"Kagan Pick Disrespects Military" [160]

Your typical Democratic Congressman: Rep. Emanuel Cleaver of Missouri thinks that Americans "don't get" the current explanation of global warming due to a lack of being able to read above a sixth-grade level. “I think the newspapers are supposed to be printed at the sixth grade level and I think with something as important as (global warming), we’ve got to figure out how to simplify the language for the public, because otherwise they’re going to get a headache and bail out because they -- not because they’re not concerned, but because they don’t get it.” [161] Note to Cleaver: We get it quite well; can you get it that you'll lose the next election because the public is tired of your elitism, among others?

Barack Obama again criticizes how the Supreme Court ended restrictions on corporate campaign expenditures ... as he nominated Elena Kagan, who has contributed to his campaign. [162]

Liberal double standard for U.S. Supreme Court: liberals insisted Clarence Thomas lacked experience, but Obama's pick is a liberal insider who has never decided a case, argued very few of them, and written very little. She was "attempting to bar military recruiters from the Harvard Law campus a few years ago." [163]
So liberals want the seat of the last veteran on the Court (John Paul Stevens) to go to someone who expelled the military!

More liberal logic: Public school administrators complain they might have to lay off good teachers. [166] Question: so why don't the unions use a merit-based process instead? Answer: because liberals oppose meritocracy.

64% Of Americans Still Rate Being A Mother As A Woman’s Most Important Role. [168]

Liberal logic strikes again: Planned Parenthood "asks people to celebrate motherhood by giving to a business that destroys it: 'nothing would make [mom] happier than a gift that represents bold and compassionate values. Like a gift in her honor to Planned Parenthood.'" Sick. [169]

Today Is Mothers Day. Honor Your Mother As God Commanded!

Flower1Conservapedia.jpg

Even upon the Cross and near death, when Jesus saw his mother in the crowd, He made the effort to arrange for her care and said: "Woman, behold, your son!" Then He said to the disciple who was with her, "Behold, your mother!" And from that hour the disciple took her into his own home. John 19:26-27.

Conservapedia's Mothers Day Prayer:

Loving God,
as a mother gives life and nourishment to her children,
so You watch over them.
Bless these women,
that they may be strengthened as Christian mothers.
Let the example of their faith and love shine forth.
Grant that we, their sons and daughters,
may honor them always
with a spirit of profound respect.
May all mothers receive Your Grace abundantly in this earthly life,
and may they look forward to eternal joy in Your presence in the life to come!
AMEN.

The web traffic tracking firm Quantcast's recent data suggests what Conservapedians always knew about Wikipedia. Wikipedia's audience is all too often made up of superficial individuals.

According to Quantcast collected at 9am Greenwich Mean Time on the day of May 9, 2010, the prevalent sources of news listed for Wikipedia's audience were monstersandcritics.com, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, and celebritywonder.com [170] On the other hand, prevalent news sources listed for Conservapedia's audience were The Washington Times, the New York Post, the Chicago Tribune, and the Washington Post.[171]

What is the featured article for May 9, 2010 at Wikipedia? According to Wikipedia here it is: "Jason Voorhees is a fictional character from the Friday the 13th series of slasher films." Deep Wikipedia. Very deep. It certainly appears as if Quantcast's data is very accurate when it comes to Wikipedia's audience!

Liberal claptrap dominates college commencement exercises. For example, the governor who caved into pressure to approve gay marriage in Maine, before voters overrode his decision, told graduates that the world had changed "dramatically" since he graduated. [174] Well, Americans are more conservative, but he wouldn't say that.

RINO Senator Bob Bennett (R-UT) is defeated in re-election. By failing to garner even 40 percent of Utah Republican convention delegates, he may not appear on the primary ballot, and under the law, may not run as an independent. Backlash over the Troubled Asset Relief Program claims its first victim. [175] (Bennett's statement: [176]) The Tea Party recently claimed control of the Utah GOP. [177] The Utah Tea Party is credited for Bennett's ouster. [178]

Obama promised to look outside for the next U.S. Supreme Court nomination, but instead it's the "same old, same old" rerun of the Clinton Administration as he is expected to pick one of its liberal insiders, Elena Kagan. Meanwhile, a "Gallup poll released Friday said 42 percent of Americans would prefer a new Supreme Court justice who makes the court more conservative, while 27 percent would prefer one who would make the Court more liberal." [179]

"Yesterday, [ Paul Campos ] read everything [Obama's likely Supreme Court nominee] Elena Kagan has ever published. It didn't take long: in the nearly 20 years since Kagan became a law professor, she's published very little academic scholarship." [180]

Another indication of how people are getting more conservative: College-educated women are spending more time with their children, reversing the opposite trend that began in the 1960s. "College-educated mothers began spending nine hours more per week with their children than in the previous decade." [181]

Like me, she is a member of the NRA, has a 100% NRA rating, and she and her husband are gun owners. She is against cap and tax. Public School Teacher Sues Over Right to Flunk Her Students. Sheila Goudeau, by all accounts, was a good teacher. In fact, she was the only nationally certified teacher at Riveroaks Elementary School in Louisiana, and she was a nominee for teacher of the year. Although hired specifically to raise the students grades, her principal ordered that no student was to get a failing grade and that teachers were not to record any grade lower than a "D." ! [185]

Until its day of reckoning arrived this week, Greece lived for years beyond its means, borrowing money and spilling red ink to finance excessive government spending, offering socialized health care and provided lavish wages for federal workers. In a victory for Conservapedia and Wikipedia Co-Founder Larry Sanger, the parent company of the online encyclopedia Wikipedia is rapidly purging thousands of explicit pornographic images from its websites as it prepares to announce a new policy regarding sexually explicit content in response to reporting by Fox News. Conservapedia noted the problem with pornography years ago, in detailing its differences with Wikipedia, and more recently Larry Sanger complained to the FBI about massive amounts of Child pornography on the site. Obama White House Quietly Supports Greek Bailout. Republicans continue to oppose US participation in the loan, however. Some feel this week's huge protests raise doubts the Greeks will actually accept the government salary and pension cuts and higher taxes their Parliament approved yesterday. And some Republicans feel the Greek lifestyle doesn't deserve a bailout. Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rogers said "the average retirement age is 53 years old. They get 80% of their salary as a retirement. At some point, I think Europe needs to evaluate whether or not they can continue these types of social programs that they have had for a number of years." [195]

Since when is displaying the American flag an 'incendiary' act?
At one California high school, it's when the display takes place on a particular holiday — and it's not even an American holiday. Administrators at Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill sent five students home on Wednesday after they refused to remove their American flag T-shirts and bandannas -- garments the school officials deemed "incendiary" on Cinco de Mayo. More than 100 students were spotted wearing red, white and green as they were leaving school. Some had the Mexican flag painted on their faces or on their arms. Evidently sporting a foreign flag isn't considered incendiary in public schools. [200]

We "feel anger," the President writes, without any hint of accountability for the liberal culture that resulted in this. [226]

Do atheistic colleges and overly competitive sports make a bad mix? A lacrosse player on the championship University of Virginia team is charged with murdering his ex-girlfriend. News story connects it to the notorious Duke lacrosse allegations. How about bringing prayer back to school sports?

Richard Dawkins

Silly Liberal Billionaire: "We’ve got a gap of 10 percentage points between what we’re raising in taxes and what we’re spending." Solution: "One way or another we are going to have to close that gap in a major way, so if some of those (new) taxes (a possible new Value Added Tax) fall on me, that’s probably the way it should be." What about cutting spending? Liberals don't care about the majority who can barely get by. [228]

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie acts to bring his State's Supreme Court in line. He announced today that he would not reappoint Justice John E. Wallace, a non-tenured jurist with a reputation for liberal leanings. Christie has appointed an eminent and well-respected business attorney to replace him. [229]

Illegal immigration hypocrisy: While Mexican President Felipe Calderon is busy denouncing Arizona's new immigration law as a "violation of human rights" he is forgetting about his own "Reglamento de la Ley General de Poblacion" — the General Law on Population enacted in Mexico in April 2000, which calls illegal immigration into Mexico a felony, and imposes harsh punishments on those who would dare to break it. Democrats Hire Psychologist to Help Them Sound More Populist ! [231]

Shameful Pressure: In Pennsylvania, Department of Human Services caseworker pressured a pregnant teenager to undergo a late-term abortion by threatening to take away either her toddler or her unborn baby if she had the child, according to the teen's foster mother. By the time DHS arranged for the abortion - in March - the girl was 24 weeks pregnant. She had to undergo the procedure in New Jersey because abortions in Pennsylvania are illegal at 24 weeks...yet the order was signed by a Pennsylvania judge! [232]

Illinois votes on school vouchers for Chicago public schools this week, to clean up the mess that Barack Obama, Rahm Emanuel, and Arne Duncan left behind. "The U.S. Secretary of Education, Duncan, is promoting the myth that he reformed Chicago’s schools and made them better. He did not," writes an African American observer. [233]

Socialism is finished - even in atheistic Britain: "Britons are ready to toss out Gordon Brown." [238]

U.K. Conservatives Extend Their Lead - David Cameron: "We'll have six months to lay out spending cuts."
The Conservative Party extended its lead in opinion polls ahead of Thursday's hotly contested general election, benefiting from a strong debate performance by party leader David Cameron and a memorable gaffe by Labour Prime Minister Gordon Brown. In already planning for spending cuts, Cameron is taking a page from Ronald Reagan's playbook. Liberals have driven the U.K. to the edge of bankruptcy, as they have the United States. [239]

"Spain's jobless rate topped 20 percent in the first quarter." [240] Gay marriage and socialism are great, aren't they?

Liberal double standard: the media mercilessly berated George W. Bush about Hurricane Katrina, yet has barely a word critical of the inept reaction by the Obama Administration to the oil spill in the Gulf.

A British atheist is convicted after a jury "took just 15 minutes to rule he had left the religious offence material with the intention of causing alarm or distress. Judge James said: 'Not only have you shown no remorse for what you did, but even now you continue to maintain you have done nothing wrong and say that whenever you feel like it you intend to do the same thing again in the future.'" As the massive Gulf oil slick grows worse by the day, the White House is fighting off a growing perception that the federal response to this ecological disaster is President Obama's Katrina. Obama Takes Direct Aim at Anti-Government Rhetoric. President Obama took aim Saturday at the so-called angry rhetoric of those who denigrate government as "inherently bad" and said their off-base line of attack ignores the fact that in a democracy, "government is us." Well that explains lots....Obama doesn't realize we have a Constitutional Republic, not a Democracy. If we had a democracy, he could kiss his bailouts and Obamacare goodbye. Obama is upset because as a liberal socialist he's never seen a level of government he didn't like. [246]

Liberal denial is working hard to obscure how the British Conservative Party is going to win big in Thursday's election. Headlines claim no one will win (false), or that the Liberal Democrats might win (absurd), or that the conservatives will win but not obtain a majority (they don't say that whenever liberals win). [247] Give it up, liberals: the conservatives are going to win big in the land of atheism!!!

Civil rights concerns raised by Arizona’s recently passed immigration law are a hot topic in the news, but 71% of U.S. voters continue to believe American society is generally fair and decent. A minuscule 21% (undoubtedly all liberals) feel American society is unfair and discriminatory. An overwhelming majority (80%) of voters also still believe that when people move to America from other parts of the world they should adopt America’s culture. [248]

"Oppressive censorship" is what a video game developer association says about state laws curbing how the $20 billion industry preys on children, now before the U.S. Supreme Court after the request by a Conservapedian. [257] Ever consider that children are being victimized by video games instead?

The charges the Internet vandal was convicted of carry a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison and $500,000 in fines. Defense attorneys argued David Kernall, the son of a Democratic state lawmaker, was just committing a college prank. That doesn't seem to have worked too well. [260]

Without fanfare, the United Nations this week elected Iran to its Commission on the Status of Women, handing a four-year seat on the influential human rights body to a theocratic state in which stoning is enshrined in law and lashings are required for women judged "immodest." The U.N. never fails to make itself an irrelevant joke. [262]

Mexico's Hypocrisy? Mexican President Felipe Calderon says his government "cannot and will not remain indifferent" in the face of Arizona's new immigration enforcement law, which he says violates human rights. But Mexico itself has "incredibly restrictive" immigration laws. The Mainstream Media are clueless in their coverage of the Recall Election case involving Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ)! Someone needs to inform them of what the Constitution of the United States does and does not say. The US Constitution does not preclude recalls of Senators or Representatives in Congress. That is what this case, argued by our own Andy Schlafly, is all about. [268]

Senator Harry Reid’s support remains frozen again this month around 40%, while two of his chief Republican opponents, both Conservatives, continue to draw over 50% of the vote in Nevada’s U.S. Senate race. That was not Noah's Ark on Mount Ararat. When the videos and the still pictures came out, something was wrong from the start, because those pictures show people not dressed for the climb and rough-hewn beams with cobwebs on them. That, and direct evidence that this was all a clever fraud. Meanwhile, real Ark hunters are still looking. [272][273]

The washed-up, 60-year-old singer Peter Gabriel declares, "I believe in abortion." [274] Perhaps his liberal advocacy as an over-the-hill rocker helped earn him Sweden's "Polar Music Prize," a silly imitation for music of the liberal Nobel Prize. [275]

Liberal "Sanctuary Cities" Fight Arizona's New Immigration Law Without Offering Sanctuary. As San Francisco and other "sanctuary cities" declare war on Arizona over its new law cracking down on illegal immigrants, most state and local governments that provide a safe haven to undocumented workers refused to publicly roll out a welcome mat for the estimated 440,000 illegals in the Grand Canyon state. Typical of Liberal tricks. [276]

Judge Rips Ayers but Won't Stop Him. A judge who served as a Marine in Vietnam ruled Tuesday the University of Wyoming must allow William Ayers to speak on campus, but also expressed disdain for an anti-war group co-founded by the radical who claimed responsibility in the 1960s for a series of bombings. U.S. District Judge William Downes issued his ruling, saying a free society must both exercise and guarantee free speech rights. "I can scarcely swallow the bile of my contempt" for the Weather Underground, the judge said. "But the fact is Mr. Ayers is a citizen of the United States who wishes to speak, and he need not offer any more justification than that." [290]

[303] The Court, to the surprise of liberals, agreed Monday to hear the case.

God Condemns The Natural Man: The natural man looks into the mirror and sees his god: himself, the egotist for whom there is no higher power than his own mind. The natural man is he who, like Protagoras (quoted in Plato’s Theaetetus), declared, “Man is the measure of all things,” meaning that there are no independent, transcendent standards of right and wrong, that every person is free to make his own rules. Natural man found great comfort in the 1920s and afterwards in the mind manipulation hypotheses of Sigmund Freud.... Click and read more
