Ludmila Lipovsky

Ludmila Lipovsky (1941-2024), was a Holocaust survivor who was stabbed to death by an Islamic fascist racist Arab "Palestinian" screaming "Allah Akbar" repeatedly on December 27, 2024 as she waited outside her nursing home for her daughter to pick her up for a doctor's appointment.

She was murdered on Herzliya's Kdoshei Hashoah Street [Holocaust Martyrs Street].

Lipovsky was born in Buy, Russia on 11 November 1941, and was in Samarkand, Uzbekistan during the war. After the war, she was registered as being in Israel. She was registered as being born during evacuation.

Ibrahim Shalhoub from Tulkarem in Samaria, (28 at the time) was injured by an armed civilian, before he got arrested.

Al Jazeera and massive racism

As Al Jazeera posted about it, it got fast: "over 4,500 people liked it, over 1,400 loved it, and 490 laughed at it because apparently it's funny to kill an Israeli, 155 felt warm and apparently enjoy this news," in just the first hour.

Immediate reactions

Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center put out a statement of condolences.

"Only monsters are capable of murdering an 80-year-old woman in cold blood," National Unity leader Benny Gantz said. He expressed his condolences to Lipovsky's family and praised the security personnel at the scene who "neutralized the terrorist and prevented others from being harmed."

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said, "Once again, it has been proven that carrying a weapon saves lives," adding that the security officers who neutralized the terrorist would be rewarded. Actor Michael Rapaport:

Legal proceedings

In January 2026, the Tel Aviv District Court sentenced Shalhoub to life imprisonment for murder under aggravated circumstances as an act of terrorism. The court also convicted him of unlawful possession of a knife and ordered him to pay the maximum compensation permitted by law—258,000 shekels—to Lipovsky’s family.

In its ruling, the court described the killing as an “exceptionally brutal” act of terror intended to intimidate the civilian population. Senior Judge Yaron Levy emphasized that the murder occurred during a period of heightened national security tension and constituted a grave violation of fundamental social values.

Background of the attacker

According to court findings and security sources, Shalhoub had previously been held under administrative detention and had served as an informant for Israeli security services. After his cooperation was exposed, he was relocated to Israel under a lawful permit as part of a rehabilitation process. The court found that he exploited this status to carry out the attack.

Legacy

Lipovsky’s murder was widely cited in Israeli public discourse as a tragic convergence of Jewish historical trauma and contemporary Islamist violence. Political leaders and Holocaust remembrance organizations highlighted the symbolism of a Shoah survivor being killed in a terror attack in the Jewish state.
