Christopher Van Hollen, Jr. (born January 10, 1959) is a Democrat politician and the current junior senator from Maryland, serving since 2017. He was previously a representative from Maryland's 8th congressional district, and served in the state legislature before that. Van Hollen was the chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee from 2017 to 2019.

Support for impeachment coup against Donald Trump
Van Hollen supported the impeachment coup against President Trump, claiming that the latter engaged in “unprecedented stonewalling” and should be removed from office.[1]
Political positions
Van Hollen is a leftist who supports unrestricted abortion, same-sex "marriage", gun control, illegal immigration, and spending bills.[2]
