Van Jones and Obama

Demos is a progressive think tank based in New York City. It was founded in 1999 by most notably, then state senator Barack Obama.[1]

Communist radical Van Jones has been a member of the board of Demos for over a decade.[2] It is likely that Demos is where Obama and Van Jones first met.[3]

The Institute for Policy Studies has considered Demos to be a "Partner Organization".[4]

When allegations of voter fraud hit the organization Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), Demos' President Miles Rapoport defended them against the allegations.[5] Demos frequently worked with ACORN prior to the allegations, along with ACORN's sister organization Project Vote.[6]
