Albio B. Sires (born January 26, 1951) is an American businessman and politician serving as the U.S. representative for 8th Congressional district of New Jersey since 2006. Sires is a member of the Democratic Party. On December 19, 2021, it was reported that Sires will not run for reelection to Congress in 2022.[1] On June 3, 2022, it was announced that Sires intends to run for mayor of West New York again once his Congressional term ends in 2023.[2]
