Peter Zeihan ( born January 18, 1973) is an American globalist[1] geopolitical analyst and author.[2][3] According to a December 5, 2005 email released by Wikileaks from Peter Olinger, Chief of Emergency and Anti-Terrorism Operations for Lockheed Martin Space Systems to Stratfor, Zeihan is "anti-Conservative".[4] Olinger writes:

what's so special about him to bump him up to the top tier of credited authorship? I scoured the everthing for a biography of Mr. Zeihan and came up pretty short. He's an "Energy Analyst" and supposedly a Russian and Central Asian affairs analyst, but never lived there...He sounds like one of the liberal press writers of today that write for so many publications on the market.

Career

Analyst and later Vice President for the Austin-based geopolitical intelligence firm Stratfor[5][6] (founded 1996), where he spent 12 years in total.[6] He has been referred to as an "establishmentarian (a self-described GWH Bush globalist)",[7] a "huckster"[8] and "buffoon" whose "whole sthick is USA preeminence and how our 'advantages' will lead to our continued domination of the world. These advantages are Hispanic slave labor, ocean moats, and raw resources."[9] He has been criticized for his "bad predictions with bad premises."[10] Most of his speeches on YouTube are at upscale investor conferences and to sell books.

Zeihan has been predicting China’s meltdown since 2005. He repeats the call for China meltdown and possible breakup or breakdown multiple times. In 2010, he said it would happen within 3-5 years.[11]
