Waltz is a Republican and represents Florida's 6th congressional district.

Waltz is former White House and Pentagon policy advisor, "a small business owner, an author, and a proud father." He is the first Green Beret to be elected to Congress.[2] In 2024, Waltz was appointed by Donald Trump to serve as National Security Advisor.[3]
