City University of New York (CUNY) is the public university system of New York City, and the largest urban university in the United States.

It is a bastion for progressives.

Liberal privileges

CUNY Chancellor Felix Matos Rodríguez’s salary is approx. $670,000 annually. His housing stipend is approx. $90,000 annually. He is provided with an SUV, driver and does not pay for gas or tolls.

In addition, CUNY received $2.8 billion in governmental funding for 2022.[2]

Controversy

At least since 2015,[3] beginning with SJP "Palestine" "activists" inciting aggressive campaign such as BDS and extreme propaganda defamation, anti-Jewish atmosohere grew.[4]

It worsened in 2022.[5]

Nerdeen Kiswani calls for murder
Nerdeen Kiswani supports axe murder of Jews

In 2022 it had (former president of NY SJP) infamous Nerdeen Kiswani, "palestinian" hateful "activist" (who had interrupted Holocaust Memorial ceremonies,[6] called for global intifadah and had praised axe murder of Jews.[7] Kiswani is the perfect example of the radical who whines about being victimized for her aggressive activism—what The New Criterion’s Roger Kimball has defined as a “cry-bully,” someone “who has weaponized his coveted status as a victim"[8]), as a commencement speaker where she spewed her venom.[6] Her co-activist in "WOL", Saadah Masoud was charged for hate crime violence.[9]

After a fury over alarming Antisemitism at CUNY, It has been punishing professors for complaining about campus antisemitism.[10] It announced that it's conducting an investigation. The very hypocritical "activists" bigots protested Antisemitism investigation by hurling the R word.[11] Yet, CUNY's liberal management hired, ironically, a rather bigoted group's former leader, Saly Abd Alla, previously of CAIR.[12]

Soon, "CUNY became America’s most anti-Semitic university."[13]

Reacting to hate sermon -2023
Reacting to hate sermon -2023

In May 2023, Islamic commencement speaker Fatima Mousa Mohammed (SJP member) slammed City University of New York (CUNY) Law for supporting ‘fascist’ (sic) NYPD, oppressive systems.[14] (Despite CUNY record of radical left). YouTube[15] initially took the speech down but then after an uproar by radical leftist groups supporting 'Defund Police'. But especially after protest by Islamist lobby CAIR, they reposted the vile speech back online. NYC's Mayor Eric Adams slammed CUNY law grad for ‘negativity and divisiveness’ after calling for attacks on ‘fascist’ police and military.[16] A bill proposed funding cuts after anti-Semitic CUNY Law graduation speech.[17]

Not surprisingly, Islamic bigot, Mehdi Hasan’s defended anti-Semitic hate speech by Fatima Mohammed, via 'deceitful defense of an Antisemitic screed.'[18]

Professors who resigned from CUNY’s faculty union due to the union's antisemitism & BDS support are suing to sever ties with the union. According to NY state law, the union still has the right to represent the profs in collective bargaining.[19]

Facts is, that Anti-Israel CUNY graduation speakers led 2022 rally linked to antisemitic assault. Leading the bloody march were two protesters studying law at the City University of New York’s law school, Nerdeen Kiswani and Fatima Mohammed, members of an activist group connected to other antisemitic attacks in New York.[20]

The City University of New York (CUNY) is assigning a former leader of the Hamas-linked Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR) to investigate an antisemitism and anti-Zionism complaint made internally by a Jewish professor.

CUNY assigned its chief diversity officer, Saly Abd Alla, the former civil rights director of CAIR’s Minnesota chapter, to investigate an email sent by Kingsborough Community College (KCC) professor Jeffrey Lax, accusing its president of anti-Zionist antisemitic discrimination. CAIR is listed by the U.S. Department of Justice as an unindicted co-conspirator in funding millions of dollars to the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas, and their leaders have previously called for the destruction of Israel.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) named CAIR a terrorist organization in 2014.

The “cleansing” of Jewish students and lecturers from German … the portal uses the CAIR-endorsed Jerusalem Declaration…. Abd Alla was a director at CAIR Minnesota, which pushed the BDS movement under her watch.. CUNY’s most powerful leaders have had documented ties or allegiances to the Hamas-connected Council on American-Islamic Relations.Google Maps. Never mind that CAIR’s Minnesota chapter is so extreme that even CAIR national has distanced itself from it. In doubling down and commending CAIR’s work, the chancellor also falsely denied Abd Alla’s connection to the BDS movement.

Overseen by Abd Alla, the portal uses the CAIR-endorsed Jerusalem Declaration on Antisemitism, which the nonpartisan nonprofit education organization StandWithUs has blasted as “deeply harmful,” “intended to cause confusion” and an attempt to “further the spread of antisemitism.”

Future lawyer Fatima Mousa Mohammed, a Queens native who was selected by the graduating 2023 class to speak during the May 12 ceremony, praised CUNY for supporting student activism — but said the school still managed to fail students by supporting the NYPD.

No reasonable observer would ever accuse Mehdi Hasan of providing thoughtful, balanced, and insightful discussions on the newsworthy subjects of the day, especially when the subject has anything to do with Jews. On June 4th, that happened to be the antisemitic screed at the City University of New York School of Law’s commencement ceremony, in which the speaker, Fatima Mohammed, called on her audience to use their rage to “fight against…Zionism around the world” and railed against “investors.” The speech was widely criticized and condemned by Jewish groups, university officials, and political leaders. Once again upholding his reputation, the MSNBC host rode to Mohammed’s defense. The result was nine minutes of Hasan and his guests enthusiastically embracing willful blindness, legal nonsense, and material omissions.

Let’s start with the legal nonsense...

The ensuing assault, also caught on video, would leave Matt Greenman bloody and bruised after being knocked to the ground and repeatedly punched in the face in front of shocked bystanders, his flag ripped away in a beating for which at least one attacker, Saadah Masoud, has been imprisoned on federal hate crime charges.
