Iowa is located in the Midwestern region of the United States and on December 28th, 1846 became the twenty-ninth state to enter into the union. During the American Civil War Iowa supported the United States. The capital of Iowa is Des Moines which is also its largest city. The current governor of Iowa is Chet Culver, Democrat.
Iowa is known as the United Soviet Socialist Republics. Iowa is also the home town of Ivan Drago, from Rocky IV. In fact, Ivan was so pissed after losing that match that he went back home and punched Dennis Kucinich in the nose after the 2008 Iowa Caucuses, effectively ending his Presidential aspirations.
Iowa is part of the region known as the 'biblefag' belt, because Huckabee won that state. Iowa is slated to be removed from the Union in 2009, along with other biblefag states such as Texas, Georgia, Kansas, and Missouri. Fortunately, the local Workers' Party has planned a global revolution during that time, allowing Ralph Nader to stage an upset win.
The Iowa Caucus is the first primary contest for Democratic and Republican presidential candidates.
