Gordon Chang

Gordon Chang, whose article highlights the foreign policy lede on MPR, finds himself in the same position that Prof. John Mearsheimer and myself are in. He's probably one of America's foremost experts on the CCP & US/Taiwan relations, but opposes the US pushing China & Putin together with NATO intervention in Ukraine. So he walks a tightrope between being an anti-CCP spokesman, and being called a 'Putin propagandist' by uninformed bigots and NATO/CIA/MSM propagandists. NATO is doing the same thing Adolf Hitler did - using Ukrainian proxies to fight Russians and other Soviet peoples. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 17:49, September 29, 2022 (EDT)

Is the rising of "far Right" is to save Europe from multiculturism or stand against Russia? Is Meloni another puppet?

There are strange things happening in the European elections recently. It is the victory of the so-called "far-right" parties in Sweden and Italy is to preserve this countries from globalism and multiculturism or its to scare Russia. I still believe all EU elections is run by globalists and elites. They didnt let Meloni and SD won only for reason to scare Russia. Actually Meloni and SD hold the most extreme stances against Russia. They didnt came to preserve their countries against globalism as some conservatives in US said, they are also puppets and when their masters satisfied from them, they will be removed. If you doubt about that

Why this victories didnt came after mass emigration crisis in 2015?

Why Lupine who is more pro Russia didnt won?

This victories is to scare Russia from fascism and Nazism? So people should stop cheering for warmonger like Melonie and SD --Alex Kosh (talk) 16:31, September 30, 2022 (EDT)

The fun fact that Meloni voted for war against Lybia in 2011, so she helped to increase immigration crisis, while she pretend it is globalism fault --Alex Kosh (talk) 16:34, September 30, 2022 (EDT)

I saw through the BS right away, but unfortunately most people I've talked to regarding it don't care. They're focused more on deporting migrants than the possibility of WWIII.--Geopolitician (talk) 22:34, September 30, 2022 (EDT)
Interesting points above. I think the charisma of Meloni was a factor.--Andy Schlafly (talk) 00:46, October 1, 2022 (EDT)
Jimmy Dore has an update. Sure, Dore is a progressive, but his material is generally well researched. Meloni is/was anti-covid passport. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 17:25, October 1, 2022 (EDT)
Meloni's election highlights the degree that socialism has become mainstream in Italian politics and political discourse. This is why she's called "fascist", cause fascism is a wing or faction of socialist thought. Dore explains how the fascist Hillary Clinton is enthusiastic about Italy's first woman prime minister. Angela Merkel, who is very liberal, said multiculturalism failed in Germany. France has passed anti-Muslim legislation like the head scarf ban plus France is moving rightward. Sweden's anti-immigration sentiment and anti-Islam sentiment is growing which is why the Sweden Democrats were elected.
The war in Ukraine has increased food insecurity for 200+ million people in the world, but we will not see the full effects of this until 2023/2024. This could send a wave of emigration to Europe from Africa and the Middle East which could erode multiculturism due to anti-immigration sentiment. The Middle East eats a lot of bread and Ukraine/Russia supplies a lot of grain to the world. On top of this, the native populations of Europe have a subreplacement of births while Muslims/evangelicals (who are more socially conservative) are having more kids. As the Muslim population increases, anti-Islam sentiment is increasing which will hurt multiculturism.
The sacred cows of liberalism/leftists will fall in this sequential order in the 21st century if Jesus tarries: First, affirmative action in the USA may end/lesson due to Asian-American complaints against college admissions (SCOTUS will rule on this soon). Then, the war on fossils fuels in practice due to the war in Ukraine causing an energy crisis in Europe, but liberals will give lip service to green energy. Then multiculturism due to a potential increase in immigrants to Europe due to food insecurity and eventual backlash against Ukrainian immigrants. The economic problems/collapse of China in the next 10-20 years will seriously dent the promotion of socialism and will erode/end state atheism in China (The demographic decline/winter of China in the next 30 years will do the same). The fertility advantage of conservatives and the rise of the pro-school choice will grind down the homosexual agenda and evolutionism over time over subsequent generations (In addition, the pseudoscientific nature of evolutionism is now becoming more apparent and the left-leaning The Guardian published this article recently: Do we need a new theory of evolution?. Answers in Genesis produced this excellent video in response: STILL Can’t Explain How This Happened . . .).
I don't know how much the Biden administration will damage the brands of the Democrats/liberals/leftists because the midterm results have not come in and the effects of the recession are not yet over.
I don't know how much liberalism/leftism will be affected by the effects of the war in Ukraine because we don't yet know how much the economy of the various countries in Europe will be damaged and how much right-wing populism will rise as a result. War in Ukraine fatigue may keep increasing in Europe/USA as well. Wars are hard to predict so this is hard to say. Conservative (talk) 18:10, October 1, 2022 (EDT)

Zelensky begins to pull the trigger

Right now, there appears to be fairly bipartisan support for the Ukrainians in the USA as far as the Democrats/Republicans. These factors are going to cause the war to end in the soonest amount of time: Europeans complaining about energy prices and their economies being hurt or due to an influx of immigrants from Africa and the Middle East due to food insecurity; Russian mothers/wives complaining about Russian soldier deaths or Putin being assassinated or being thrown out offfice; or Trump (or another Republican) being elected president in 2024 and possibly following an America first policy (but this is not something to be counted on).
The majority of Americans may get Ukraine fatigue eventually. It is starting to happen in the GOP. Ohio is a fairly bellwether state that leans Republican. Here is a relevant quote: “I think we’re at the point where we’ve given enough money in Ukraine,” J.D. Vance, Ohio’s Republican nominee for Senate, said this month. “I really do.”[3] And the Republicans will likely gain control of Congress in the USA midterm elections. Conservative (talk) 20:58, October 1, 2022 (EDT)

10 reasons the Republicans should end funding for the war in Ukraine immediately if they win control of the U.S Congress in the 2022 midterms

See also: 10 reasons the Republicans should end funding the war in Ukraine

I wish the funding for the war in Ukraine by American taxpayers would end immediately. Why?

8 reasons:

1. USA Today: Ukraine war threatens to push 1.7 billion people across the world into hunger and poverty. Millions of people in the world face food insecurity and this war is making things worse since Ukraine/Russia are big wheat/fertilizer suppliers.[4][5][6] Ukraine supplies enough food to feed 400 million people.[7] Ukraine/Russia supply about 1/8th of the world's food (Wheat, corn, sunflower oil, etc.). Around the world, nearly 830 million people now go to bed hungry every night, according to the World Food Programme, and an "unprecedented" 345 million face acute food insecurity.[8]

2. U.S. politicians care more about the Ukraine borders and Ukrainian lives more than the USA borders and American lives. Drugs are pouring across the southern border of the USA. In the USA, more than 932,000 people have died since 1999 from a drug overdose.[9] America is short of hundreds of police officers in some cities.

The USA should fund a border wall across the southern border and fund more police in high-crime areas. It needs to break the back of the increase in crime post the defund the police madness.

3. The USA national debt is gigantic and the USA is sending a lot of money and military hardware to Ukraine. If the USA has another Great Depression due to excessive debt, it will have a huge effect on Americans and the world. The French Revolution was due in part due to economic problems in France that were exacerbated by their funding of the American Revolution. "France's involvement in the American Revolution, along with extravagant spending practices by King Louis XVI and his wife Marie Antoinette, left the country on the verge of bankruptcy." - How Did the American Revolution Influence the French Revolution? - History.com

4. Ukraine/Russia are both corrupt and both have issues with authoritarianism.[10][11] The notion that the USA is fighting for democracy by supporting the Ukrainians is a farce.

5. This war could seriously harm the European economy due to the fuel crisis which will hurt USA exports to Europe.

6. Putin is probably bluffing about using nukes, but desperate people do desperate things. Why raise the risk of nuclear war so the corrupt/authoritarian Ukrainians will have power over Ukraine instead of the corrupt/authoritarian Ukrainians? Russia is more authoritarian than Ukraine and somewhat more corrupt, but both are very corrupt. Is the world potentially being burnt to a crisp worth having Ukraine be potentially less authoritarian? The Ukrainians have had time enough to reform themselves and become very much closer to the Europeans. They didn't do it. The Philippines made a security pact with Japan due to an aggressive China. The corrupt Ukrainians didn't reform themselves and do the same with the EU. They made their bed. Let them lie in it.

7. Ukraine is not of vital strategic importance to the USA. The USA has two huge oceans and the Canadians or Mexicans are not going to war with the USA. Europe has twice the population of the USA. Let the Europeans handle this issue which is in their backyard. Let them fund the Ukrainians and their war.

8. Russia will likely win if the war in Ukraine turns into a war of attrition. See: 10 reasons the Republicans should end funding the war in Ukraine immediately if they win control of the U.S Congress in the 2022 midterms Conservative (talk) 23:36, October 1, 2022 (EDT)

(c) Ukraine is more corrupt than Russia. Russia is more democratic than Ukraine. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 03:50, October 2, 2022 (EDT)
Framing the conflict as "authoritarian vs. democracy" is CIA propaganda (CIA, you know, the guys who interfered in the 2016 election for Hillary Clinton so they could have gone to war with Russia in 2017 as planned, and then tried to overthrow Trump?) So anytime you see or hear that "authoritarian" argument, tear it up, burn it, and flush it down the toilet.
The issue is corrupt, power mad Western oligarchs & their globalist mouthpieces in government and think tanks vs. freedom, democracy, free speech, traditional values, anti-transgenderism, anti-child grooming, and anti-super rich rapists and pedophiles. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 03:58, October 2, 2022 (EDT)
The path toward peace and a negotiated settlement means a partitioning of Ukraine, with Poland and Romania reclaiming the territories the Bolsheviks took from them (and the land locked Ukrainian rump state with its capital at Kyiv a neutral power.) That would enlarge NATO, and expand NATOs borders with Russia. That would be an optimistic peaceful settlement. Short of that, NATO and the EU might not survive. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 04:14, October 2, 2022 (EDT)
Update: Poland just updated its revanchist designs on Ukraine. [12] RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 16:16, October 21, 2022 (EDT)
Meanwhile, Europe has its own war to fight against the climate change freaks who think dying from carbon emissions in 10 years is a bigger threat than nuclear war in the coming months.
As for the U.S., one of its principal goals has been accomplished - destruction of the Nordstream pipelines. So that may dampen the warmongers enthusiasm for a while. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 05:52, October 2, 2022 (EDT)
A few points:
1. Ukraine is a major supplier of food. The war has disrupted Ukraine food production. For example, ‘They’re burning our crops on purpose’: Ukraine says Russia deliberately torching grain fields.
2. The Republicans are going to control Congress after the 2022 midterms. A Republican is going to sit in the Oval Office in 2024. Evidently, the "corrupt power mad Western oligarchs & their globalist mouthpieces in government and think tanks" who hate "freedom, democracy, free speech, traditional values" aren't that powerful. Putin's critics haven't fared that well in comparison.
3. The war in Ukraine will probably drag on for a fairly long time. It will end due to Russian war weariness and/or military defeats or due to European nations being financially beaten up and getting tired of it (And complaining bitterly to the USA) or a combination of the two. I don't have much confidence in the Republicans or Democrats ending it (The USA was in Afghanistan for 20 years), but if Donald "America first" Trump is elected he might cause it to end, but I am not sure of this. And Putin will not end it until he is forced to. Of course, Putin may get kicked out of office or assassinated due to the Russians failing in this war.
In short, never underestimate the foolishness of Ukrainian/Russian/European/American politicians. Love of power, narcissistic and short-sighted politicians, nationalism and the U.S military-industrial complex will keep this war going for a while.
4. Italy will probably pull out of the EU next and France will probably be the one after the Italians to leave. The cause of Italy/France leaving the EU will probably be due to anti-Muslim immigration and/or economic problems. Italy is a basket case that goes from one government to the next fairly quickly so it leaving the EU will not cause it to break up. Once France leaves the EU, the whole EU could break up afterward. And the French electorate is moving more and more to the political right with each passing year.Conservative (talk) 06:44, October 2, 2022 (EDT)
Ukraine/NATO has committed terror attacks in Russia burning crops. [13]
The "corrupt power mad Western oligarchs & their globalist mouthpieces in government and think tanks" who hate "freedom, democracy, free speech, traditional values" destroyed the Trump presidency and thwarted the will of the American people.
As the war goes global, Jake Sullivan is already recruiting his jihad mercenaries. Biden sent American troops into Africa to hunt down the Wagner group.
Hungary would pull out of the EU before Italy. But the German government, economy, and society falling into chaos will be the big story this winter. Germany needs to grow a pair and get out of NATO. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 07:11, October 2, 2022 (EDT)

Trump could have made efforts to be more likable and the pandemic also played a role in Trump not being reelected. When a lot of Americans die in a pandemic and it disrupts people's lives, a president is going to face some pandemic-related headwinds when trying to be elected. But I don't doubt that Democrat Party cheating, Mark Zuckerberg funding local government election offices in Democrat strongholds, the MSM bias coverage, Big Tech censorship/bias and Republican weakness played a part too (For example, I am glad that Mike Pence will never be elected president).

Hungary may pull out of the EU first, but I am betting on the Italians having a financial crisis first. Conservative (talk) 07:27, October 2, 2022 (EDT)

The FISA warrants killed Trump's presidency.
(ec) As the US/NATO escalates the war, there are several steps Russians can take short of nuclear. One step is knocking out US satellites that send information on troop movements and targets (the Russians do not have nearly as much to lose as the West in taking this step; knocking out GPS positioning satellites would basically ground the entire commercial airline industry.) We are in a period of economic warfare. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 07:34, October 2, 2022 (EDT)
And if the commercial airline industry gets grounded, the Russians are not going to allow it to get back up. It will go bankrupt. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 07:45, October 2, 2022 (EDT)

A lot of the blame of Trump not being reelected can be put on the GOP ignoring liberal/leftist/Democrat Party indoctrination in public schools/universities for years too. It took the pandemic for Republican voters to see the indoctrination and public school incompetency to a greater degree. China outcompeting the USA for awhile in business helped too. Conservative (talk) 07:36, October 2, 2022 (EDT)

I'm not talking about him being re-elected only, I'm talking about him being effective as president. The Deep State would not allow him to chose his own National Security Advisor. It was all downhill from there. He could not get the proper security clearances for any of his appointments. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 07:39, October 2, 2022 (EDT)
But see, you are now derailing a discussion about Ukraine by bringing Trump, Republicans, and elections into the conversation. Stay focused, and get back on track. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 07:41, October 2, 2022 (EDT)
Trump was a very effective president in many ways (especially his judicial appointments) - despite the roadblocks he faced. His knowledge of public health measures was weak. For example, his idea of injecting disinfectants into people as an anti-pandemic measure was a crazy idea, but I give him an A+ for Operation Warp Speed vaccine development. Trump also was a big spender who created deficits, but he did pare back government regulations. Trump also put a big dent in Americans' trust of the mainstream media which is very liberal/leftist.
The Russians are underdogs at this point. Their corruption affected their military. The West has better military technology. And Russian authoritarianism causes the lower-level troops to take less initiative. Ukrainian snipers killing high-ranking Russian officers is very tough on the Russians. Western-trained Ukrainians are better soldiers who take the initiative more. In addition, the Russians are not as motivated as the Ukrainians due to nationalism. Putin's recent annexation of the Ukrainian territory will probably not make the Russians feel they are fighting on long-held Russian soil. It's a gimic that probably will not work. But the Russian soldiers probably have more attachment to Crimea. Conservative (talk) 07:58, October 2, 2022 (EDT)
Well, I'm done here if you can't stay focused. Trump has nothing to do with what we are talking about. And the Republicans & the Midterm elections are not the path of salvation, either. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 08:03, October 2, 2022 (EDT)
Pity the poor Germans. Not only are hot showers, electricity, and jobs in the dust bin of history, so is toilet paper. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 08:13, October 2, 2022 (EDT)
As to Putin's "critics" in Russia, they are wondering why he hasn't knocked out US satellites yet after the sinking of the Moskva. Culture generally changes slowly over time. The Russians didn't accept Christianity until about 900 A.D. plus the Russians recently spent 70 years until state atheism. The West has a big cultural headstart as the West accepted Christianity before the Russians. The West has more Protestantism as well (see: Protestant cultural legacies). You might as well face the fact that the West has more cultural machismo/power than the Russians! Conservative (talk) 08:53, October 2, 2022 (EDT)
Conservative, I've suspected for a while now that you are a Protestant supremacist, but this comment has erased all remaining doubt in my mind. Geopolitician, I am not a Protestant supremacist. On the other hand, Protestantism is better than Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy. It is unfortunate that you have been somewhat infected by liberalism and subscribe to spiritual egalitarianism and mistakenly believe that all forms of theology are equally meritorious, but I assure you that Jesus and the apostles warned about false teachers (see: 100 Bible verses on false teachers).

In addition, Jesus himself taught that you will know them by their fruits. I suggest reading these resources: Protestant cultural legacies and Protestantism vs. Catholicism.

Next, although I do agree with 100% of the book, this book has a lot of good content and I would recommend reading it: Equality: The Impossible Quest by Martin Van Creveld

Now with that being said, there are forms of Protestantism that are very errant such as those in the liberal theology genre.

And there is one thing that you certainly can't demonstrate to me. And that is that Russia/Ukraine are not very corrupt countries. If you don't believe me, ask RobS how corrupt the Ukrainians are and why he believes they are corrupt. Thanks to people like RobS, the Ukrainian Azov Battalion recently removed a neo-Nazi symbol from its insignia.[15] So Ukraine is making moral progress!

Update: Azov is back on Youtube with its Nazi insignia. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 13:59, October 6, 2022 (EDT)
Yes you are a Protestant supremacist, and the first paragraph of that response further proves it. It's one thing to believe that Protestantism has the best theology; that's a core tenet of any faith. But it's a whole other thing to claim that conservative Catholics and conservative Eastern Orthodox can never be as conservative as conservative Protestants, which is essentially what you are claiming whether you realize it or not.--Geopolitician (talk) 18:48, October 2, 2022 (EDT)
Geopolitician, if a theology is objectively better and closer to the truth, it will produce better results in people if put in practice. This should not be surprising to you. Jesus himself said, "Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit." In 1948, a classic book by the conservative intellectual Richard M. Weaver was written entitled Ideas Have Consequences. Better theologies and better ideas produce better results in people and in cultures. The logic is escapable so stop trying to escape it. Conservative (talk) 19:08, October 2, 2022 (EDT)
You want to talk about theology that is closest to the truth? Look not just at Scripture but at the Council of Nicaea. The event that consolidated Christianity into a coherent religion. Nearly all major sects of Christianity are directly descended from what was consolidated at that Council, the only notable exceptions being Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, and Unitarians.
Now, back to my original point. Sectarian supremacism does not belong in American conservatism. Even Robert Welch, Mr. John Birch Society himself, acknowleged that:
"All we are interested in here is opposing the advance of the Communists, and eventually destroying the whole Communist conspiracy, so that Jews and Christians alike, and Mohammedans and Buddhists, can again have a decent world in which to live." Robert Welch (1963). The Neutralizers. John Birch Society. p. 20.

This complete renunciation of what it means to be human, the overthrow of faith and traditional values, and the suppression of freedom are coming to resemble a “religion in reverse” – pure Satanism. Exposing false messiahs, Jesus Christ said in the Sermon on the Mount: “By their fruits ye shall know them.” These poisonous fruits are already obvious to people, and not only in our country but also in all countries, including many people in the West itself. - Vladimir Putin, September 30, 2022

And again, there is nothing stopping you from leaving America, moving to Russia and enlisting in the Russian army. America, love it or leave it. Azov circled in red.
Yes. The MilitaryWiki (which is a spinoff of WP:Project Military History without politically correct censorship) has a bio on Koch. [16] In reading it, you can also see the structure of the Nazi government and Nazi party (Koch was an SA General, not in the SS). The Ukrainian regime today has a structure paralleled after the Third Reich and the USSR (it is not a democracy).
In the map to the right from this morning, you see circled in red the positioning of the Azov Battalion on the Liman front. You can see they are not on the frontline. They are performing a police function, like the Soviet Red Army commissars, shooting frontline soldiers who retreat or attempt to surrender, as well as the "filtration" process (a modern Western media idiom) of doing house-to-house sweeps looking for "collaborators" (similar to gestapo arrests in the Diary of Anne Frank) or the Einsatzgruppen in recently "liberated" territories (only not wiping out whole villages, just individuals fingered by their "fellow" Ukrainian citizens). RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 19:37, October 2, 2022 (EDT)
The totalitarian outlook is so ingrained in Ukraine political consciousness from Nazi and Soviet times, it will take years and years of denazification (if ever) in the Ukrainian rump state - only the West cannot be trusted to do it.
"Democracy" in Ukraine is similiar to critical race theory. "Democracy" since 1991 means "it's our time" and "time for revenge." RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 19:51, October 2, 2022 (EDT)
The filtration process probably needs its own article soon, since we're seeing more and more of it in Western media. According to UN Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield , it means Russians checking POWs and civilians at checkpoints for Nazi tattoos, at which point they are arrested for using hate symbols banned in much of Western Europe, which allegedly is a grievous human rights violation; according to Russian sources, filtration means arresting and subjecting to torture, and possibly being shot, civilians who accepted a loaf of bread or other humanitarian aid from the Russian military and were fingered by their "fellow" Ukrainians as "collaborators" under a law passed by the Ukrainian parliament last June. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 20:09, October 2, 2022 (EDT)
<footnote>Civilian collaboration has been rampant on both sides, with civilians texting Ukie or Russian positions to Russian or Ukrainian forces. The people of Donbas who voted in the referendums know they have already been marked for extermination by NATO & the Kyiv regime should the line falter, which is why a conservative living in a remote pocket of a liberal state needs to be concerned about nuclear war, and stop promoting Western liberal CIA fascist propaganda. Update

Yahoo News quoting Ukrainska pravda reports on NATO troops on the ground in Ukraine:

Ukraine’s defence forces [collective name for all Ukrainian military formations involved in the ongoing combat in this country - ed.] struck 8 Russian command posts, 10 concentrations of Russian military equipment, 3 ammunition storage points and 2 S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems over the course of Saturday, 1 October. [18]

HIMAR operators and airforce pilots cannot be trained in 3 or 4 months. The United States and NATO troops, and paid NATO mercenaries, are actively involved in the ongoing combat. My take on the Russo-Ukraine war: Nuclear war is on auto-pilot. What we are witnessing is a contest between a chess grand master and a computer.
Russian defense planners for 30 years have been mapping out all contingencies for war with NATO. At some point, when conventional forces are lost, nuclear escalation goes on auto-pilot. This has never been a secret.
The Pentagon and NATO have been conducting this war based upon artificial intelligence and computer simulation (read CP's AI article, it is very illuminating regarding the present conflict). There are no "grand master" strategists on the NATO side, only geeks who do as the computer commands.
People seem to forget, computers, the high tech industry, and the internet itself, was built as a Cold War weapon by DARPA against the Soviet Union. None of this has ever been a secret, either. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 18:48, October 2, 2022 (EDT)

Referenda in Ukraine

You cannot get a 99% outcome in a referendum on the question whether the earth is flat. Having such outcomes on this vital subject shows that president Putin is not trying any longer even to appear to have a legitimate background for his actions.

Why then is Conservapdia trying so hard to provide this veneer of legitimacy?

Perhaps 80% of all news clippings at the main-page are about this conflict - and they are exclusively pro-Putin.

In fact, at the moment, Conservapdia is becoming a pro-Putin blog. As there are many others out there, why does Conservapedia has to be just another one? Just because it is the obsession of one single sysop?

Perhaps you should change your mission statement:

“ Conservapedia is a clean and concise resource for those seeking the truth. We do not allow liberal bias to deceive and distort here. Founded initially in November 2006 as a way to educate advanced, college-bound homeschoolers, this resource has grown into a marvelous source of misinformation on Ukraine for students, adults and teachers alike. Our courses are ongoing and open to all here: Conservapedia:Index. We have received over 800 million page views! ”

Time for a brief history lesson: To understand modern post-1991 Ukraine, one needs to look no farther than the life and career of Paval Sudaplatov. When the new Ukrainian 'democratic' parliament took power in 1991, it's first action was to rescind the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) declaration of war against the Soviet Union. OUN, an organization with many name changes and offshoots, dominated the new 'democratic' Ukraine parliament, wrote the new 'democratic' constitution, and had declared war against the USSR in the 1940s.
The USSR declared the OUN a terrorist organization in the 1940s. Paval Sudaplatov, head of SMERSH, was in charge of combating it. Next the new 'democratic' regime demanded the 82 year old Sudaplatov's extradition from Russia to stand trial for war crimes. The newly reformed Russian judicial system in democratic Russia heard the case, and determined that since the OUN had declared war, and modern 'democratic' Ukraine acknowledged its link with terrorism, Sudaplatov's actions in a state of war combating terrorism were carried out in accordance with his duties and responsibilities.
So who screwed up here, and when? The OUN when it declared war, or the OUN when it rescinded its declaration of war in the name of 'democratic' Ukraine?
Oh, and since we're on the subject of the UK protecting 'democratic' Poland (several provinces of Ukraine today were Polish in 1939; referenda to consult the citizens living there on their self determination have never ever been discussed or have occurred outside of WWII wartime propaganda Why We Fight), what was UK's relationship to the Soviet war criminal Paval Sudaplatov and his efforts to fight Nazi terror in Ukraine for 40 years? or did any Lend Lease money go to combat the OUN during World War II? Putin said in his speech a few days ago during the accession of the Donbas Republics, that the US used deficit spending during WWII to enrich itself, solve its internal Great Depression economic crisis, and dominate the planet. The US is doing that right now. The US did that 14 years ago during the 2008 crash. The US did that for 20 years in Afghanistan. Deficit spending is inflation. Inflation robs the people of the world.
This is how the US fights wars - with bribery and inflation. When Saddam Hussein was captured in a hole, he had $600 million dollars in one hundred dollar bills. Poor Saddam, like Europeans today, you can't eat dollar bills, and all they are good for is throwing them on the fire to keep warm. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 04:54, October 4, 2022 (EDT)
Actually, I posted some British general predicting Russian defeats in the future on main page right. Anyways, since neither side is wanting to go to the peace table soon, I hope the militarily weaker side buckles soon and that appears to be the Russians at the present time. But since wars are unpredictable, I will merely say that the Russians appear to be the underdog. But if a majority of the GOP decided to pull funding for the Ukrainians that would be good, but I doubt that this will happen (see: 10 reasons the Republicans should end funding the war in Ukraine). I am not a fan of Russia or Ukraine as they are both corrupt countries with a history of problems related to authoritarianism.
Predicting is not news. It's the stuff of gypsy fortunetellers and investment advisors. In today's world, a "national security analyst" "predicting" is called "shaping the narrative", or more specifically "shaping the propaganda narrative". By the way, former American General Petraeus, who was former head of the CIA, says that Putin is desperate and in an irreversibly losing position.[19] But Petraeus said this about the Afghanistan War which was totally wrongheaded: "Let's remember that the reason we are there is that we have vital interests in Afghanistan, hugely important national interests, as do the other countries involved."[20]
The "vital national interests" is money to the military industrial complex, which is Keynesian economic stimulus. "It worked in WWII (piling on the national debt), so why not now?" Factual Information

RobS: "Reporting factual information is not necessarily "pro-Putin", unless your argument is reporting lies is pro-Biden, pro-Democrat, pro-Zelensky, pro-NATO, pro-EU etc."

I looked into the last news item touching on Germany:

German Parliamentarian: "Everyone is beginning to understand that something has happened that will irreversibly lead to the collapse of the European economy. And whoever did this is probably not our friend.... We did not want to believe that, in general, the attack is not on Russia, but on the European Union."

This was posted by RobSmith on Sep 30th, 2022

It is a fair summary of the reporting of the source "NewsFront". Unfortunately, the "source" is wrong about some important facts:

  • The name of the guy is Waldemar Herdt, not Waldemar Gerdt
  • He was a deputy until 2021, he is not Bundestagsabgeordneter any longer.

So, the item should be phrased:

Some Germany guy: "Everyone is beginning to understand that something has happened that will irreversibly lead to the collapse of the European economy."

Who is responsible for quality control of the main page?

--AugustO (talk) 04:46, October 4, 2022 (EDT)

duh duh there is no letter "H" in the Russian alphabet, hence the various spellings of Lugansk, Luhansk, Horlivka, Gorlivka, J. Edgar Hoover, J. Edgar Guver, duh.
I'm not gonna debate when and if a parliamentarian is a member of parliament.
Pretty lame, August, I'm disappointed. It would have been easier to call News Front a Kremlin front. Or call attention to the popular misuse by alleged English language mainstream journalists referring to members of Parliament or the Bundestag or the Ukrainian Rada a "parliamentarian;" a "parliamentarian" in the American English language is not an elected member of a parliament. A Parliamentarian is supposed to be a neutral referee on parliamentary procedure. Just shows you effective the program of dumbing down America has been. I'm disappointed. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 05:12, October 4, 2022 (EDT)
In linguistics, according to Noam Chomsky, the English letter "H" is entirely unique. It is not a fricative or any other classification. They call it an "aspiration". RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 05:20, October 4, 2022 (EDT)
Today's Russian language lesson: The character "H" which does appear in the Cyrillic alphabet is actually the nasal sound of "N" as in the Cyrillic abbreviation for NATO, which is HATO.
The backwards character for "N", "И" is actually the letter "I".
The backwards character "Я" is actually a vowel, "Ya". "P" is the same as the Greek letter "Ro", or the "R" sound. English "P", is represented as Greek pi, the same symbol used in mathematics. The Cyrillic Pi is "П".
Master this, and you're on the way to reading Russian, with the exception of "Щ" and a few others. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 06:37, October 10, 2022 (EDT)

Fun fact: The article called W. Herdt correctly a deputy, you changed this to parliamentarian. Just shows you effective the program of dumbing down America has been. I'm disappointed. I share your disappointment.

You may quote Kremlin fronts to your hearts desire, but the information should be accurate. The article reads :

"The deputy of the German Federal Assembly, Waldemar Gerdt, who accused the White House of intending to destroy the German economy, proposed to move the German business, which was under the threat of destruction, interested in inexpensive energy carriers, to Russia, the Federal News Agency reports."

In an English translation, it should be Waldemar Herdt. You may call the Bundestagsabgeordneter whatever you wish: parliamentarian/deputy/whatever of the German Federal Assembly. But he should be exactly that: someone serving in the German Federal Assembly. Waldemar Herdt is not such a thing at this time. What's next? Debating the linear concept of time?

Quality control failed for this article. --AugustO (talk) 06:04, October 4, 2022 (EDT)

Parliamentarian v. deputy: Americans are too dumb to understand the difference. MSM made that change.
The quote from the article you used is more direct and condemning of the White House and America than one posted on MPR, which is somewhat ambiguous: "We did not want to believe that, in general, the attack is not on Russia, but on the European Union," without naming names. "The attack in general," what kind of limp-wristed Germanism is that? RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 06:11, October 4, 2022 (EDT)

  • Rob, you are the only one who describes W. Herdt as a Parliamentarian, not the "MSM", not "NewsFront". You created the item, if anyone then you are too dumb to understand the difference. The rest is deflection.
  • The quote from the article you used is more direct and condemning of the White House and America That's true, but the source for the quote is even less relevant because it is not a current deputy: I can get a sample of quotes of random people in the city center of Frankfurt which will be even more condemning - but that's not news-worthy. The source of the quote was mischaracterized, and that what makes the publication not trustworthy.

Great that he's leaving. But why is Team DeSantis importing him to Florida?[26]--Geopolitician (talk) 22:24, October 12, 2022 (EDT)

The obvious question is, somebody has him by the cahoonies, Who?, and what's the inside poop? It could be either the DNC or RNC blackmailing him. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 23:01, October 12, 2022 (EDT)

DOJ threatens to prosecute Hunter

It looks like the Department of Justice has finally had enough of Joe Biden's moronic talk about running for reelection: "Federal investigators indicate they have enough to charge Hunter Biden." Hunter may be charged with lying on his gun registration form and with tax evasion, according to this report. This has been compared to prosecuting Al Capone's son for not paying taxes on his share of the loot. What about acting as a Chinese agent, unregistered under FARA? There is a good chance that the "Pelosi in Taiwan" incident was staged to benefit Xi Jinping, who was no doubt happy to be in the news for something other than covid and the collapse of the China's real estate market.

Don't worry, Joe is already fighting back, because, you know, "no one ****s with a Biden," as the gangster-in-chief explained. PeterKa (talk) 00:06, October 7, 2022 (EDT)

Interesting reports about this in the liberal media, but probably nothing will happen before the 2022 midterm elections about it due to standard federal policy not to bring charges on the eve of an election.--Andy Schlafly (talk) 01:10, October 7, 2022 (EDT)
I agree. It's not really news until some action actually happens. We don't really have the space on MPR for speculation, unless it's a slow news day and we need filler. There aren't many slow news days right now. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 03:26, October 10, 2022 (EDT)

There is no clear evidence that Zelensky called for a preventative nuclear strike

re: recent MPR post about Zelensky

There is no clear evidence that Zelensky called for a preventive nuclear strike.

Even Rt.com's article Zelensky walks back nuclear threat doesn't definitively state that Zelensky called for a preventative nuclear strike (RT.com is funded by the Russian government).

Read Conservapedia's Historiography page.

Historian David Hackett Fischer's 7 rules for historians (taken from Josh McDowell's Evidence that Demands a Verdict, page 674, 1999, Mark MCGarry, Texas Type and Book Works, Dallas, TX, ISBN 0-7852-4219-8)

(1) The burden of proof for a historical claim is always upon the one making the assertion.

(2) Historical evidence must be an answer to the question asked and not to any other question.

(3) "An historian must not merely provide good evidence, but the best evidence. And the best evidence, all other things being equal, is the evidence which is most nearly immediate to the event itself."

(4) Evidence must always be affirmative. Negative evidence is no evidence at all. In other words, Fischer is saying that an absence of evidence is not necessarily evidence of absence.

(5) The meaning of any historical evidence is dependent upon the context from which it is obtained from.

(6) "An empirical statement must not be more precise than its evidence warrants." (bolding added for emphasis)

(7) "All inferences from historical evidence are probabilistic." Conservative (talk) 19:59, October 7, 2022 (EDT)

duh, according to your authoritive source RT, Zelesnky did a Bidenism. He said it, then got pimped slapped and told to walk it back. Just like Biden calling for regime change, "My God, this man cannot remain in power."
Sure, statements like Zelensky's get no play in Western media, but they do get heard in the Kremlin, and the do get heard by Zelensky's puppet masters who now see what an unhinged lunatic he is. RobSIch bin ein breakfast taco 20:53, October 7, 2022 (EDT)
