Redistribution of wealth is a liberal tactic that punishes, through heavy taxation and other means, people for pursuing the American dream. Wealth redistribution makes individuals dependent on the government for handouts rather than their own hard work and perseverance. Central control and distribution of wealth is a key aspect of socialist and communist regimes, in that governments control all aspects of the economy, rather than allowing the invisible hand of the free market to lead.
