This is a flip flop from last fall, when the Biden regime prioritized Israel and put Ukraine on the back burner. Stephen Bryen identifies the weapons being withheld: JDAM kits to convert conventional bombs into glide bombs: "JDAM remains in demand. Israel, which has its own version of JDAM (more sophisticated and more expensive than JDAM) has ordered thousands. ...There is considerable controversy over the delivery of JDAM kits, especially for the larger size bombs, which Israel claims have been blocked." What's puzzling is why the Pentagon would prioritize JDAM & glide bombs for Ukraine, given that Ukraine has no airforce. A few years ago I did an in-depth examination of jihadism, and I wanted to specifically answer the question why older Muslims would encourage young men to engage in such self-destructive behavior. And I came up with this thesis: that jihadism is akin to youthful rebelliousness common to virtually all societies and cultures, only in the case of Islam, it is encouraged to be directed outward against other societies, cultures, and communities rather than inward as you see in the West where young rebels spray paint walls, turn over garbage cans and engage in other rebellious conduct of varying degrees. In Islam, the elders encourage this mindless conduct, and direct it against "the other". telling young people "this is how you can serve God".

As for the killing part, it's not that different from how Western and other societies recruit people to serve in the military, only the brainwashing begins at about age 12, so by the time a jihadi becomes 17 or 18, the society, its elders and traditions, have a pretty good grip on containing young people from doing harm to their own society, culture, community, and neighborhood. My take: Bergum (executive branch experience) and Vance (ideological successor) are the only two contenders. Note: Neither Trump, Pence or Vance had executive branch experience.

On the face of things, Rubio appears to be an appeal to Hispanic voters, but constitutionally can't run cause both candidates can't be from the same state, so it's just pure propaganda. In my own view I think it's more advertising that Trump now has a direct pipeline into the deep state, which will happen when Rubio takes over chair of SSCI (99% certainty).

Younkin shows that Trump thinks Virginia, and possibly North Carolina electoral votes are in play.

Assuming that Trump used the word in a negative way, he's right. And this is part of the story about Palestinians that no one wants to say.

70-80% of Palestinians support specific terror attacks against Jewish civilians, after the fact, during the last 20 years of polling. These include some of the most horrific attacks like the slaughter of rabbis in Har Nof in 2014, with axes and cleavers.

80% of Palestinians surveyed, in a poll done by Palestinians, said they supported the attack.

In 2008, a terrorist entered the Mercaz Harav yeshiva and started mowing down students. 8 were killed, including 4 children. When Palestinians were asked if they supported that attack, 84% said they did.

In 2003, when asked about the Maxim restaurant suicide bombing in Haifa that murdered 21 including a two month old baby, 75% of Palestinians said they supported it.

And more recent polls show that over 75% of Palestinians supported the October 7 pogrom.

75% isn't 100%, but no one can deny that as a society, Palestinians support murdering innocent Jewish civilians, no matter where they live. Many of them openly cheer those murders.

What kind of people cheer terror attacks? Of course they should be vilified and insulted for their attitudes. Using the word "Palestinian" as a pejorative is quite reasonable without there being any significant Palestinian pushback against the cult of death that their society promotes.

Okay, I understand all this. Some will say, 'it's peer pressure' or 'social pressure', like Putin getting 88% of the vote (or this morning Biden still having 74% of Democrats). The good news is, it's down from 80-84% to 75% since Oct. 7.

My question is: Do we have reliable stats on what percentage of the general population speak or read English? That may have some impact on social attitudes, either pro or con. Following the debate, the New York Times called on Joe Biden to drop out of the presidential race. Liberal comedians have turned on him. But with backing from a family conclave, from Barack Obama, and from Bill Clinton, Biden apparently has no intention of dropping out. Its all about Jill Biden, who can't get enough of being first lady, they say. For all the uproar about Biden's performance, the Biden/Trump poll numbers haven't moved at all.

For the incumbent to trail prior to the first debate and then lose the debate is a disastrous omen. For years, the Dems have stressed that Trump is an existential threat and they were the party that would protect us from him. By that metric, Biden is now a liability. If they keep him on the ticket anyway, the Dems are a party that stands for what, exactly?

Sadly, the political wonk's dream of an open convention is unlikely. The Democratic National Committee has the power to pick a nominee without consulting the convention.

The precedent that comes to mind is 1944. The delegates to the Democratic Convention understood that President Franklin Roosevelt was at death's door, but nominated him for another term anyway.
