A housemate and fellow parishioner of the church I became a Christian in was really into Bill Gothard. He later got divorced and now he doesn't believe in Hell.

Conservapedia's timeouts and slowness problems

I saw your main page talk post.

Conservapedia uses old versions of MediaWiki, PHP and MySQL (See: Conservapedia's software stack). As a result, it is like a wiki that didn't eat its Wheaties (The cereal that is the breakfast of champions). It is slow and under traffic loads associated with bot or traffic spikes, it buckles and/or hiccups. And bot traffic is increasing due to AI and probably other factors. Andy could fix this problem if Conservapedia updated its versions involving this software cluster and also used Cloudflare (It would help if Conservapedia used Cloudflare as far as DDOS mitigation). I haven't had much luck getting Andy to do the software updates and he has chosen not to use Cloudflare too. But I found workarounds to get access to my site articles by making backups to my articles at the Internet Archive website and via archive.ph
