Michael Wood (Republican Party) ran in a special election to the U.S. House to represent Texas' 6th Congressional District. He lost in the special general election on May 1, 2021. He was the anti-Trump candidate backed by Adam Kinzinger. He only garnered three percent of the vote.[1]
