Paul Anthony Gosar, born November 27, 1958 (age 67), is the Republican U.S. Representative from Arizona's 4th congressional district, having defeated incumbent Democrat Ann Kirkpatrick in the 2010 Midterm Elections in Arizona's 1st district and winning again in the 4th district in 2012. He is a member of the Natural Resources Committee and the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
Gosar received a D.D.S. from Creighton Boyne School of Dentistry and owned his own dentistry practice for 25 years.
He has called for defunding NPR over their refusal to report on Hunter Biden's corruption.[1]
Controversies
In early November 2021, Gosar tweeted an edited cartoon anime video depicting him attacking an image of what appeared to be Joe Biden and slaying the evil witch Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, which generated immense backlash from congressional Democrats and mainstream media.[2] The Democratically-controlled House of Representatives would use this as a flimsy excuse to censure him in violation of Gosar's First Amendment rights.[3]
