Dr. Rand Paul (born January 7, 1963) is an American politician and conservative U.S. Senate candidate in Kentucky. His father is Ron Paul. He was not[1] named after Objectivist/Libertarian author Ayn Rand. He is currently the Republican nominee in the 2010 Senate election for the seat of Jim Bunning after defeating the more moderate Trey Grayson in the primary.
