This category includes nations that are known to have nuclear weapons such as the United States, United Kingdom, France, Russia, China, North Korea, Pakistan, et al.

It also includes books and topics related to nuclear target structure including places such as Pearl Harbor (which is still a likely potential target), and Cuba (see Cuban Missile Crisis), etc.

The following text or something similar will be added to each item in this category as needed.

Major Military Base: A Likely Nuclear Target Structure

It is argued that countries which lack nuclear defense capabilities are more easily attacked with nuclear bombs due to their lack of mutual retaliation capabilities. Nuclear defenses and other defenses do have a deterrence effect.

Within a country, patriotic citizens can be honored that their community helps protect their country via nuclear defense weapons or other military defense capabilities.

On the other hand, some citizens take a "not in my backyard" view of nuclear defenses or other military defenses in their area. Pearl Harbor has a major United States Armed Forces military base with likely nuclear weapon capabilities making it one of the primary targets among the world's major nuclear target structures in a possible nuclear war.^[1] It being a "first strike" nuclear war target is mostly due to missile silos, bomber bases, submarine bases, and command and control (C2) centers. The enemy must neutralize these assets immediately to prevent or minimize American nuclear or other military retaliation.
