Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors are a professional basketball team based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Raptors were founded in 1995, when the NBA expanded to Canada, with another team formed in Vancouver, British Columbia; The Grizzlies. The Grizzlies moved to Memphis, Tennessee in 2001, leaving the Raptors as the only Canadian NBA Team. The Raptors have enjoyed more economic success than the Grizzlies, building a reputation for sellout crowds, but have not won a championship or conference title, only advancing to the playoffs four times, and only winning the first round once, in 2000-01.

The Raptors play in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference at the Air Canada Centre, also the home of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
