The Los Angeles Chargers are an American professional football team. They are part of the NFL, American Football Conference (AFC) and play in the AFC West Division. The team is based in Los Angeles, California and share a stadium with the Los Angeles Rams.

The Chargers were one of the charter members of the old AFL and were located in Los Angeles for the inaugural 1960 season before moving to San Diego in 1961.[1] In 2020, unable to connive San Diego residents to build a new stadium for them, they returned to their city of origin.

The team won four AFL Championships.[2] The team was in the Super Bowl in 1994, however, they lost to the San Francisco 49ers, 49-26.[3]
