Water rationing

Water rationing is a liberal approach to increase public dependency on government, as gun control and health care restrictions likewise do. The conservative approach is to reduce the scarcity and create more abundance to avoid government controls.

In 2022, Leftists in California began imposing strict water rationing amid a drought that some called the worst in 1,200 years. "In parts of Los Angeles, for instance, residents are limited to two 8-minute periods of outdoor watering per week, with specific days based on their address," as outdoor watering constitutes roughly half of city water use there.

Water shortages are an issue in the 2022 midterm elections in southwestern states such as Arizona and Nevada.
