Truro

Truro is a city and is the administrative centre of Cornwall, England. The River Allen flows through the city and the Truro River is nearby.

The railway station is on the main line from Penzance to London. Historically the harbour was locally important regarding fishing and the transport of tin and copper mined in the county.

The city has a cathedral and there are some Georgian buildings and cobbled streets.

Its population is 20,920 (2001).
