Simple logic should tell you that, even if launched from northern Canada or Greenland, it wouldn't make it across the Arctic to Russia. It's not a long range missile.

Correction. The Newsweek articles was poorly written. It calls the missile a long-range missile and in another part of the article it calls it an "intermediate-range medium-range missile system". I saw the 3 classifications above too earlier in the day at another website. Also, I did some additional research to see if it is a category issue such as ballistic vs. non-ballistic missiles.
