IMDb profile

Quantum of Solace (2008) is the twenty-second film of the James Bond film series and the second to star Daniel Craig as fictional British secret agent James Bond. The film takes the title of the Ian Fleming short story of the same name from his James Bond book For Your Eyes Only, however, it has no further relation to the short story, although Daniel Craig believes the film adapts the story's theme of one's humanity vanishing with a quantum of solace.[1] The film is a direct continuation from the previous installment, Casino Royale, making it the first film in the series to directly continue the storyline of the previous film. Jeffrey Wright reprises his role of Felix Lieter in the film, making Wright the second of only two actors to play Lieter in multiple Bond films, the first being David Hedison who portrayed the character in Live and Let Die and Licence to Kill. Jesper Christensen also reprises his role of Mr. White from the previous film, making Mr. White the third of only three villains to appear in multiple Bond films (the previous two being Ernst Stavro Blofeld, who appeared in six official films, and Jaws who appeared in two films). Quantum of Solace is also the first Bond film to feature the Gunbarrel Sequence at the end of the film rather than the beginning.
