Ernst Stavro Blofeld
Ernst Stavro Blofeld is a fictional character from the James Bond 007 book series and film franchise. He is well known for being perhaps the most iconic adversary of Agent 007 and MI6 in the Bond universe, being the head of fictional global terrorist organization, SPECTRE, and was originally introduced in the 1961 Bond novel, Thunderball, penned by Ian Fleming (although the origins surrounding the character's original creation remains disputed to this day).
Blofeld has since appeared in 7 of the official films of the James Bond film series produced by EON Productions, and was most recently featured as the main antagonist in the 2015 film, Spectre (portrayed by Christoph Waltz), marking the character's first appearance in the series since 1981's For Your Eyes Only.
