Lauren Faust
Lauren Faust (born July 25, 1974) is an American Animator, director, writer, and producer from Annapolis, Maryland.Faust is the red haired creator of the latest incarnation of My Little Pony titled "My Little Pony Friendship is Magic". Faust is also known for being an executive producer for the DC Super Hero Girls animated television series which premiered on Cartoon Network in 2019. With her long track record as a writer/producer on animated series, she has shown to surpass common stereotypes, creating a children's cartoon with a target audience of girls that can be enjoyed by all "audiences" of people, regardless of age or gender. Faust's professional credits span from voice work in 1994 through art and writing and, by 2004, directing and development of shows such as "The Powerpuff Girls". She is married to the creator of the show, Craig McCracken when the two tied the knot on March 13, 2004. Faust took maternity leave in mid-2016 to take care of their newborn daughter.
Faust studied at the California Institute of the Arts (known as CalArts), which is a private art university in the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Clarita, California, United States.

The 2010 Canadian-American animated television series developed by Lauren Faust "My Little Pony Friendship is Magic" has 9 seasons of episodes totaling overall, two TV specials and 222 episodes, concluding the series in fall 2019. Shortly after the last episode of the first season aired of ""My Little Pony Friendship is Magic", Faust announced that she had left the show. Her involvement in season two concentrated on story conception and scripts; diminishing through the course of the second season. Faust had no involvement in season three, though it uses at least one plan of hers that was not used in the first two seasons, and she had no involvement in season four.
