Exclusionary Rule

In American constitutional law,the exclusionary rule states that evidence which is obtained illegally or in an otherwise unreliable fashion is not admissible in court. By legal precedent partly established and confirmed in Illinois v Gates (1983), application of the exclusionary rule covers all people currently on United States territory, regardless of citizenship status.
