Cromartyshire

Cromartyshire is a remote county of the Scottish Highlands. Cromartyshire is unique among the traditional counties of Great Britain as it consists entirely of a collection of detached parts, which are scattered across Ross-shire from coast-to-coast, and has no main body. The north-westernmost and largest part of Cromartyshire, which consists of Coigach and the Summer Isles, borders Sutherland to the north. This part of the county contains Ullapool, the county town.

Put together, the parts that make up Cromartyshire have an area of 370 square miles. The county has a population of around 7,000.
