Christian nationalism
Christian nationalism is a form of nationalism which seeks to promote Christianity as an integral part of national identity.[1]
Frequently intersecting with right-wing populism, Christian nationalists are often socially conservative, opposing abortion and same-sex marriage. Christian nationalists also generally oppose, or favour limits on, non-Christian immigration.
Some Christian nationalists are critical of Zionism. Some are Zionists. Prominent American Christian Nationalists (or at least viewed as such) often aligned with pro-Zionist views include John Hagee (founder of Christians United for Israel), former Vice President Mike Pence, Mike Huckabee, and figures within the MAGA movement who support Israel based on evangelical "end times" theology. These leaders often link American national identity with strong support for Israel, viewing its existence as a biblical mandate. Some are antisemitic.
