Social conservative

A social conservative is a conservative who emphasizes social issues, rather than economic or global ones. Most notably, social conservatives are pro-life and give that issue top priority.

A social conservative views social issues as most important, as the drivers while non-social issues are consequences. For example, moral decay of a neighborhood can cause its economic decline. Put another way, improvement on social issues can be a riding tide that raises the community on all other issues.
