Covenant

A covenant is a promise or oath. The word "covenant" is used hundreds of times in some English translations of the Bible to describe God's promises to his people.
Jesus proclaimed the New Covenant which replaced his Jewish teachings of the Old Testament with his message which he termed The Way. This covenant division is one of the most misunderstood subjects in the Bible due to the monumental mistake which Johann Pruss of Strasbourg, France made when he tragically inserted a New Testament title page in between the books of Malachi and Matthew. Not only did this contradict Proverbs 30:6, but it also created the world's largest confusion as to where God's Old and New Covenants are "divided".[1]
