SQLite is the most deployed database software in the world.[1] It is a self-contained, serverless, zero-configuration, transactional SQL database engine. Its code is in the public domain and its creators plan to maintain it until the year 2050.

Christian Values in the SQLite Community

D. Richard Hipp, the creator of SQLite, is a well known Christian. In 2018, Christian Headlines described Hipp's institution of the St. Benedict Rule as a community standard at SQLite. The rule states: "“First of all, love the Lord God with your whole heart, your whole soul, and your whole strength. Then, love your neighbor as yourself. Do not murder. Do not commit adultery. Do not steal." [2]
