Hello, and welcome to Conservapedia! One question--are you the person who originally wrote the article D. Richard Hipp‎ on Wikipedia? Thanks! --DavidB4 ^(TALK) 21:23, 27 March 2021 (EDT)

I was the one who created the page. It is a copy of his Wikipedia entry (which is short and sticks to the facts) along with information about his Christian background that I wrote myself. Is there any problem? As I understand it, Wikipedia pages can be re-published elsewhere and many Wiki sites use standard Wikipedia as their base. LoveExcel10 (talk) 21:33, 27 March 2021 (EDT)

Thanks for the fast reply! We allow users to import text they have written elsewhere, but it needs to be written by them, and them alone. So any subsequent edits by other people should be excluded from what is copied over to CP. While some wikis may copy Wikipedia's content wholesale, we intend (and work) to only publish content which was written by our editors. The only exception to this is images, since images created by others can be republished here, as long as we have the legal right to do so.

Also, we ask that anytime users import their writings from other sources, that they make a note of this on that article's talk page. Typically, Template:Copied from is simply added to the top of that talk page.

Thanks for letting me know. I did not realize that. I went in and overhauled the page. It is now my own work. I have long been a fan of this site and its entertaining and interesting articles like Biblical scientific foreknowledge. This man is an outspoken Christian and has quietly changed the world and so I thought he should be recognized here. (I use this software and stumbled upon him but he is very obscure otherwise.)
