Elon Musk (born June 28, 1971) is an American billionaire most people associate with the Tesla Motors company. Also a co-founder of PayPal, a CEO for SpaceX, and chairman of SolarCity. He describes his political affiliation as "I'm somewhere in the middle, socially liberal and fiscally conservative." [1] He believes in a man-made global warming. Musk was born in South Africa, raised in Canada and resides in Los Angeles. His wealth is estimated at $14 billion.
Musk companies are thriving due to government subsidies. Tesla Motors and SolarCity have taken a huge financial hit in 2016. Both these companies are based on the green energy movement and are being punished by the markets due to extremely low oil prices. Musk lost a personal fortune upwards of $4 billion.
