The term "Palestinian" generally refers to self-claimed "Palestinian" Arabs, who actually originated from other countries in the Middle East, who seek to create a homeland in some or all of "Palestine" - those advocating the latter view often advocate the destruction of the state of Israel. Most "Palestinians" reside in Gaza, the West Bank, or Jordan. The King of Jordan has refused to grant citizenship to Arab refugees from "Palestine", in part due to political pressure from other Islamic countries.
