Clint Eastwood, Jr., born May 31, 1930 (age 96), in San Francisco, California, is an award-winning American actor, director, producer, composer and writer. Eastwood was also the mayor of Carmel, California, from 1986 to 1988.

His movie Dirty Harry (1971) is one of the greatest conservative movies ever, and widely recognized by nearly everyone as a film classic despite having originally been snubbed by liberals.

Political Positions

Eastwood has been registered as a Republican since 1951, but has described himself as a libertarian in the past[1][2][3]. Eastwood is not known to be conservative on social issues, as he supports homosexuality.[4]

Eastwood supported John McCain in the 2008 presidential election[5].

Eastwood endorsed Mitt Romney as the Republican candidate for the 2012 presidential election, and at the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida on August 30, 2012, Eastwood made an appearance to give a speech to the gathered delegates. As part of his speech, Eastwood delivered an improvised routine where he addressed an empty chair on stage which he intended to represent President Barack Obama. Eastwood used the speech to criticize Obama's performance as President, then he asked the American public to send a message to Obama by voting him out of office for his poor presidential record. Eastwood's presentation hit a raw nerve among Leftists, who protested far too much on the internet afterward. Eastwood's speech was well received by the crowd at the Tampa Bay Times Forum (where the convention was held) and by much of the public.

Eastwood refrained from making official endorsements post-2012. During the 2016 election, he had previously stated that he'd rather have Trump over Clinton; later on, however, he said he was remaining neutral. "I haven't supported anybody, really. I have stayed out of it." He also compared the Trump vs Clinton pair to Abbott and Costello[6].
