Yorkshire and the Humber is a statistical region in the north of England, established in 1994. It consist of a collection of council areas that lie mainly within the county Yorkshire, with the south east of the region being in northern Lincolnshire. Small areas of Derbyshire (around Sheffield) and Lancashire are also included.
