Jean Carroll

The Jean Carroll Show: Take It from Me is a forgotten eleven-episode situation comedy which aired on ABC Television from 1953 to 1954. Jean Carroll (1911-2010) was cast as an average New York housewife, Jean. She opened each episode with a monologue, a practice later used successfully on NBC by Jerry Seinfeld.[1] Alan Carney (1909-1973) played the husband, Herb, and Lynn Loring (born 1944) was cast as their daughter. Alice Pearce (1917-1966) played the nosey neighbor.[2]

The series was produced and directed by Alan Dinehart. Its writers were Cleman Jacoby and Arnie Rosen.[2]
