What's missing from these discussions is, the $5.7 billion funding request includes more holding facilities (including for families) and medical facilities, and increased staff, not just funding for border guards and fencing. Trump's made it clear, he'll give DACA reform and amnesty in exchange for ending the lottery and infrastructure improvements on the border (Amnesty's not an issue, its about preventing future illegals, not deporting past offenders).
