Gramsci

Before this page gets into details on his personal life and qualifications, I intend to use it to introduce an uniformed public to the the theories of Antonio Gramsci. Buttboy seems to want to have an ideological debate with the American people (maybe even more than a debate on policy positions), so let's let this intellectual have it his way. I'll be back later this week. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 00:24, 15 April 2019 (EDT)

Is it really necessary to refer to him as “buttboy”? I don’t agree with his politics (or lifestyle choices) but we aren’t 10 year olds. JohnSelway (talk) 00:27, 15 April 2019 (EDT)
Buttboy seems better than Buttbuddy. The real debate is on who will young girls and parents that want to raise their daughters as heterosexual look to as a role model once the First Ladyboy takes office? RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 00:42, 15 April 2019 (EDT)
So you’re a teenager who thinks that’s funny then? JohnSelway (talk) 00:55, 15 April 2019 (EDT)
I think it's about as hilarious as Donald Drumpf or Ronald Raygun. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 01:16, 15 April 2019 (EDT)
Neither of which are funny either. JohnSelway (talk) 01:17, 15 April 2019 (EDT)
Look, if I don't do it, you know someone else will, to paraphrase George Soros. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 01:32, 15 April 2019 (EDT)

He is a Socialist holocaust denier.

The article says "He is a Socialist holocaust denier." The footnote doesn't support that he denies that communists/socialists engaged in mass murder.Conservative (talk) 12:24, 25 April 2019 (EDT)

Cons: You're not going to get anywhere. You're walking straight into Buttigieg's trap. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 23:59, 26 April 2019 (EDT)

Vile affections

We need an Essay:Vile affections, now that vile affections have taken over the networks' prime time broadcast schedule and is in the forefront of Democratic candidates. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 17:44, 5 May 2019 (EDT)

Infiltrated?

Why use the word 'infiltrated'? He was hired as a professor. Also I removed the stuff about the cathedral because it is silly and isn't relevant at all and seems to suggest Buttigieg had something to do with it. There is enough to crticise without that silliness. JohnSelway (talk) 23:33, 22 May 2019 (EDT)

Needed better structuring and more logical organizing

This article provides much what WP or other liberal sources do not, or allow. However, it needed better and more logical organizing and collating as an encyclopedic article, which I hope I somewhat provided. Daniel1212 15:54, 22 November 2019 (EST)

Thank you.--Andy Schlafly (talk) 15:58, 22 November 2019 (EST)
Aye, from the boss no less! Glory be to God. Daniel1212 19:54, 22 November 2019 (EST)
There's still some scattered information outside the 2020 presidential election section. Basically, anything that makes national news after he declared for president is fair game to be considered inside his presidential election section. For now, it looks okay, but relevant material can later be incorporated into his separate 2020 Pete Buttigieg presidential campaign page, kinda depending on how far he makes in the primaries. RobSDe Plorabus Unum 18:06, 23 November 2019 (EST)
The ramifications of the proposed Federal Equality Act which Mayor Pete supports, under the premise of promoting "security" verses the "harm" suffered under the Freedom of Religious Restoration act, is something I hope can be factually addressed in time. Daniel1212 16:40, 6 December 2019 (EST)

"crossover voters"

Buttigieg is looking for "crossover voters". Buttigieg has given a new meaning to that term. RobSDe Plorabus Unum 11:20, 9 February 2020 (EST)

Restructure

The page needs restructuring. I propose:

  1. making tenure as Trans Sec. the first subhead;
  2. making tenure as South Bend mayor second subhead;
  3. failed presidential campaign third subhead;
  4. family background and ideological views split into fourth and fifth subhead;
  5. culling some of the Intro and moving that info into relevent subsections.

RobSGive Peace a chance 16:40, February 23, 2023 (EST)

I gave it a start, but it still needs some work. The Intro needs to be culled and updated with some content moved to appropriate subheads. We need to leave space in the Intro for future events. RobSGive Peace a chance 17:38, February 23, 2023 (EST)
  • "I lost my train of thought."[33] Twitter users added their own puns to the mix, replying, 'Sorry, got off track,' and 'Buttigieg's train of thought just derailed'.
That's what I love about this guy - the comedy writes itself. RobSGive Peace a chance 00:54, February 24, 2023 (EST)
