Greene Grift?
Marjorie Taylor Greene is basically useless. What exactly does she do for the movement, besides talk? She's got zero notable legislation, besides voting no on the Trump impeachment and yes on challenging 2020, as well as multiple failed attempts at impeaching Sleepy Joe. That's it. She's an elected official, and yet she provides nothing besides annoyingly generic talking points.
I, too, had high hopes for her after the censure, thinking that maybe we'd finally have a based, politically incorrect congresswoman (bar Paul Gosar), but what has she done, as of late? Apologize for an accurate comparison? People like her and Lauren Boebert seem to not understand that what made Trump so great was his provocative, unapologetic attitude, and apologizing to the unforgiving left defeats that whole purpose. After disenfranchising 700,000 Americans by striping her of her committee assignments, she has little to do other than speak to the American people, fundraise, and work the floor during important votes. It was the so-called "Democrats" who supposedly believe in equality who disenfranchised her constituents. Adam Schiff and AOC should take note how she was treated when the chickens come home. - MTG is the one who stymied The Squad, exposed the DC Gulag (compelling its warden to taken down her own postings), and became the most effective congressman despite being stripped of all committee assignments (which she'll get back after the midterms). MTG is immensely popular among her constituents, and is sought-for by other candidates campaigning elsewhere. Feeding at the hog trough
IMO, most people don't understand the significance of being stripped of committee assignments. A vote on a committee is how members bring home the bacon for their districts, and trade with members on other committees for legislation to divvy up the pot. So her (and Gosar's) constituents have not only been denied equal representation, they don't get their share of the pork, either. It's the voters who get punished, not the member. Meanwhile, unlike most freshman members, MTG gets a good look at how Congress really works, and how D.C. operates. She's gotten a two-year crash course that took Pelosi & Steny Hoyer 7 or 8 decades to accumulate between them. RobSLet's Go Brandon! 15:59, December 31, 2021 (EST)
I was wrong about MTG
I had once suggested that Greene was useless; I was wrong. Greene is a patriot. She's not perfect, but she's doing a lot more for us than I was giving her credit for. After seeing that she was willing to speak at AFPAC III, I realized that maybe I judged her too harshly. The woman's got guts, and I should've given her more respect. MTG is no useful idiot.
Her crusade to get the Epstein files released is noble, and patriotic. Our country was attacked when Epstein launched his operation on behalf of his foreign intelligence masters. We the American people have the right to know which country attacked us, and why. Although the answers are obvious, it would still give us great comfort to know for certain. But President Trump clearly disagrees, so much that he's willing to unceremoniously throw longtime supporters under the bus over it. The lengths he has gone to protect the country which attacked us (and continuesattacking us) is misguided at best, and treasonous at worst.
