Nuufolau Joel "Joe" Seanoa (Born March 17, 1979 in Orange County, California), better known by his ring name Samoa Joe, is an American professional wrestler of Samoan background, currently competing in World Wrestling Entertainment with the SmackDown brand. Prior to joining WWE, he competed in Ring of Honor, where he was that promotion's longest reigning World Heavyweight Champion (holding the title between March 22, 2003 and December 26, 2004), in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, where he held every one of the promotion's championships that were active (World Heavyweight, World Tag Team, Television and X-Division) during his time there, and in Japanese promotion Pro Wrestling Noah, where he held the GHC Tag Team Championship with British wrestler Magnus (now former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis).
