Ruth Davidson, Baroness Davidson of Lundin Links is a Scottish liberal politician. She is best known for serving as Leader of the Scottish Conservative Party from 2011 to 2019 and Leader of the Scottish Conservative Party in the Scottish Parliament from 2020 to 2021.
She is known for taking 'progressive' stances on abortion, immigration and same-sex "marriage" and for her opposition to Brexit. She also wants Scotland to capitalize on China's anti-American Belt and Road initiative.[1]
Despite her generally liberal stances, Ruth Davidson was still bullied by Scotland's authoritarian SNP regime and their mob.[2]

Early life
Ruth Elizabeth Davidson was born in Edinburgh on 10 November 1978 to a working-class family.[3] Davidson spent her early childhood in Selkirk and moved with her family to Fife after her father took a job in the whiskey industry.
Ruth Davidson spent 3 years between 2003 and 2006 as a signaller for the Territorial Army.[3]
Career
Ruth Davidson was elected to the Scottish Parliament on 5 May 2011 as a regional member for Glasgow.[4]
In early November 2011, Ruth Davidson became leader of the Scottish Conservatives, the Scottish wing of the UK's main neoconservative party the Conservatives (or "Tories"). She came first in the initial round of voting with 40.3% of the vote, and again in he final round with 55.2% of the vote.
Davidson was elected again to the Scottish Parliament on 5 May 2016, this time as a representative for the constituency of Edinburgh Central.[4] Davidson won a minority victory with 30.4% in that constituency, with her SNP rival Alison Dickie coming a close second on 28.6%.[5] At this election, the Tories had their best result in Scotland in over 60 years.[6]
Following the UK referendum decision to leave the EU on 23 June 2016, UK Prime Minister David Cameron resigned and Davidson supported Theresa May to succeed him.
On 18 September 2016, at a rally attended by senior members of Scottish socialist führer Nicola Sturgeon's Reichskabinett, a rap was featured that labelled Ruth Davidson as a "dyke".[7]
On 4 December 2016, Ruth Davidson met with Pan Xinchun, the consulate in Edinburgh for communist China. According to Davidson, the CCP's "One Belt, One Road" initiative provided valuable opportunities for cooperation between the genocidal communist regime and Scotland.[1] It is generally agreed that the initiative in question is anti-American; aims to create a Eurasia-wide CCP-led bloc to counter the United States.
On 8 June 2017, Davidson is considered to have helped save the ineffective UK Prime Minister Theresa May's government against Jeremy Corbyn's extreme left Labour Party, by securing 13 seats in Scotland, a record performance for the Tory Party in that country.
On 20 July 2021, Ruth Davidson entered the House of Lords, the UK Parliament's upper chamber, as a life peer. Her full title in the Lords is Baroness Davidson of Lundin Links, of Lundin Links in the County of Fife.
It was reported by the Scottish Daily Express on 21 July 2022 that Davidson was backing former Chancellor Rishi Sunak in the Conservative Party leadership election against his main rival, Liz Truss, to whom the endorsement was described as a "blow".[8] Sunak lost the contest that September, with Truss becoming Tory party leader and, owing to that party having a majority in the House of Commons, Prime Minister. Truss resigned as PM after 45 days and Sunak would become Prime Minister than October.
Political views
Despite being leader of the Scottish Conservatives, Davidson has few conservative principles and is exceedingly liberal, meaning she is generally in line with the political establishment in Scotland. She has called herself a "John Major Conservative".[6] Described as a "Tory progressive", Davidson views social liberalism as more important to her than the Conservative Party.[9][10] She opposed Brexit in the 2016 referendum.
Ethics
Following the overturning of the problematic and outdated Roe v. Wade case in 2022, which effectively made abortion legal on demand in the USA, Davidson claimed that "women will die" as a result of the decision.[11] Similar claims were made by many liberals at the time and are yet to be proven correct.
Immigration
Ruth Davidson supports more immigration into the UK, which already has problems due to its insecure borders. On 1 June 2018, she justified this by claiming it would make the UK more "vibrant".[12]
According to Ruth Davidson the Burqa, an Islamic full-body garment, should be protected in the same way as a Christian crucifix.[9] Many conservatives in Christian countries like the UK support a full or partial ban on the garment. Even Muslim the countries Egypt and Turkey ban Burqas in some public settings.
Social
Davidson is socially liberal, who described her support for the homosexual agenda as more important than the Tory Party.[10]
She voted against the radical, far-left, anti-free speech "Hate Crime" Bill of the SNP regime.[13]
Personal life
Ruth Davidson is a lesbian. She lives with her "domestic partner" Jen Wilson, a native of County Wexford in Ireland. Davidson gave birth to her son Finn on 26 October 2018.[14] She returned to politics from maternity leave in April 2019. She tried to normalise the abnormal practice of same-sex parenting by saying "I’m not doing anything that thousands of woman don’t do every year and it’s the same stresses and strains. I’m still coming home to dirty nappies and baby vomit", she further said of her return to work "I could’ve done with another few weeks, but there was never any suggestion that I would not be returning to do something I really enjoy. I will still give the job 100 per cent."
She is a member of the Church of Scotland and, in May 2022, expressed 'delight' at that church voting to allow its ministers to conduct same-sex "marriages".[15]
