Melanoma

Melanoma is cancer of the cells in the skin that produce melanin, a brown pigment. Melanoma often begins in a mole.
Mortality rate
Melanoma is the most deadly skin cancer. The mortality rate from melanoma is 20%. Melanoma causes three out of four skin cancer deaths. Sunscreens do not provide protection from melanoma.[1]
