Matthew McConaughey

Matthew McConaughey is a God-fearing Hollywood actor who, unfortunately, seems to fear global warming more. McConaughey has encouraged talk of his running for governor of Texas in 2022, although many think he's just blowing hot air. He leads by 44-35% in a poll in September 2021 against the Republican incumbent Greg Abbott.[1] McConaughey has won an Oscar for his acting, and teaches a class in the art at the University of Texas; in addition he is also a part-owner of Austin FC, a Major League Soccer team located in the city.

McConaughey would have strong competition from the liberal with the phony Hispanic nickname, Beto O'Rourke, who reportedly will run. O'Rourke feels he is "born to run" for public office and has already run unsuccessfully for the U.S. Senate (unable, in a year when the Democrats took over the House and made gains in the Senate, to unseat Ted Cruz who has a high unpopularity level) and even the president of the United States.

Joe Biden as president is very unpopular in Texas, which will make it difficult for any Democrat to win statewide there in 2022, notwithstanding the influx of Californians moving to Texas yet continuing to vote Democrat.
