Manchester Synagogue Attack: Islamist Terrorist Targets Jews on holy day Yom Kippur

On 2 October 2025, during Yom Kippur—the holiest day of the Jewish calendar—a brutal Islamist terror attack was carried out at the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation in Crumpsall, Manchester, UK.

The knife-wielding terrorist perpetrator, a Syrian Arab Muslim immigrant: Jihad Al-Shamie, a (35-year-old), deliberately drove a vehicle into Jewish worshippers before launching a knife attack near the synagogue.

Three innocent people were murdered, and three others—including a synagogue security guard—were seriously injured. The attacker was shot and eliminated by police at the scene after the 6-minute rampage, and was wearing fake explosive belt. Authorities quickly confirmed the incident as an act of Islamist terrorism. Later that day, three additional Arab suspects were arrested in connection with the plot.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer saud the man who attacked a synagogue in Manchester was a "vile individual who wanted to attack Jews because they are Jews".

The attack underscores the continued threat posed by jihadist extremism to Jewish communities in the UK and across Europe, particularly on sacred religious occasions. Jewish leaders and local officials condemned the attack as a heinous act of anti-Semitic violence inspired by radical Islamic ideology.

Palestinianism (gloating)

Reort: Vehicles flying Palestinian flags taunted the victims near the scene.

Sickening "pro-palestine" reaction

Within hours of the attack, Arab Mualim led "pro palestime" riots erupted. Juat like Post Oct 7 atrocities. Emboldebed.

Hero rabbi

Rabbi Daniel Walker, leader of the Manchester synagogue targeted in a Yom Kippur attack, recounted the harrowing experience in an interview with ITV. He noticed the attacker, Jihad al-Shami, acting suspiciously even before the service began. About 30 minutes into prayers, the terrorist attempted to force entry with a knife, prompting him, community members to heroically block the doors. Two worshippers, Adrian Dawley (53) and Melvin Kravitz (66), were killed, and four others were injured—three seriously, including a security guard. Rabbi Walker praised the bravery of those who intervened, stating, "If it weren't for them, we wouldn't be here now." The attacker was shot by police, and British authorities believe one victim may have been mistakenly shot by responding officers. Rabbi Walker concluded, "I met evil face to face," [revealing how the Islamic knifeman chillingly shouted: 'I'm gonna get you'], but urged a focus on good and positive change.

Islamic State

Al-Shamie called the emergency services during his assault and pledged allegiance to the Islamic State (ISIS), the police announced on a week later. .

Rape, double life & vile

Al-Shamie was held on rape charges. He led a double life — obsessed with a Muslim dating app and had three wives, one of his wives, a white nurse who converted to Islam described him as was ‘vile’.

Shabana Mahmood

Following the heinous crime, Home Office's Shabana Mahmood was slammed for lying she had "never heard" of anyone being named Jihad, following the Manchester synagogue attack by Jihad Al-Shamie. Critics, including CAABU, called her remark ignorant, reminding Jihad is a common Arab name that means "struggle," prompting fears of increased hostility against those with the name.[1][2][3][4]
