Gaslighting
Gaslighting is a form of intimidation or psychological abuse, where false information is presented (in the form of such tactics as denial, misdirection, contradiction and misinformation) to the victim, making them doubt their own memory, perception and quite often, their sanity. The phrase, "Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?" illustrates a simple form of gaslighting.
Usage of the term stems from the 1944 film Gaslight based on the theme.
Gaslighting by the liberal media and Big Tech
Gaslighting is a frequent practice of members of the Democrat Party and its liberal media and Big Tech puppets[1][2] to cover for the Democrats and their crimes and illegal actions and the liberal media and Big Tech's own wrongdoings in support of same,[3][4] to try to fool the public by blatantly lying about and denying Democrat crime (despite evidence proving otherwise), as well as making accusations, without proof, against those who bring attention to said crime (including even resorting to projecting their own tactics by accusing their opponents of "gaslighting"), and childishly mocking, ridiculing and belittling them.[5] One such example of liberal media gaslighting in support of the Democrats was outlined here:

Pretending that the president not only refused to disapprove of, and in fact has incited, the black bloc brutality fits the narrative that white supremacists, not Antifa and Black Lives Matter, are the domestic terrorists we have to worry about. This is the unfounded, and quite frankly laughable, assertion of Washington Monthly that “White Supremacists Are Invading American Cities To Incite a Civil War.”[6] |
