East Lothian is a traditional county of Lothian in Scotland, lying east of Edinburgh between the Southern Uplands and Central Lowlands. The county town is Haddington and East Lothian is sometimes known as Haddingtonshire as a result.
East Lothian lends its name to the council area East Lothian, which is run by East Lothian Council and covers a similar area.
