Children of God

The phrase children of God appears in English translations of the Bible, six times from John (his Gospel and his first letter) and four times from Paul (his letters to the Romans and the Philippians). (ESV version) "Sons of God" is also used for translating phrases by Paul, Matthew, and Luke.

The connotation in modern English of this phrase is youngsters, such as toddlers, and not the full adults as intended. A better translation today, and one which avoids transgender mischief, would be as "sons and daughters of God."
