Cassandra

Cassandra was a daughter of King Priam of Troy. Her story does not appear in Homer who describes her only as the most beautiful of the daughters; but later myths describe how she was desired by Apollo who gave her the power of prophesy. When she spurned his advances he charged that her prophesies would always be right but never believed. She was given to Agamemnon at the end of the war, but was killed by his wife Clytemnestra upon their return to Mycenae.
