Cannibis crop, which harms people and has an odious smell, continues to grow in quantity due to liberal promotion. Its pungent odor can extend more than a mile from its crop.[1]
By 2021, lawful cannibis agriculture had grown to be the 5th largest crop, ahead of surpassing wheat and tomatoes. The legal cannibis crop in California was 514 metric tons at a value of $1.66 billion, in 2021.[2]
Illegal cannibis growth in California is estimated to be 4 times as large, and when taken into account the value of the California cannibis crop is more than $6.5 billion. This exceeds the top two commodity agricultural crops in California, which are Almonds ($5.6B) and grapes ($4.5B).[3]
